Review of Boogie By The Sea
four of us paid for VIP tickets, after spending 45 minutes queuing to get into the venue my husband eventually walked down to the front to find out there was a different queue for VIPs this was even after asking 2 stewards who told us it's one queue for standard and vips tickets! this was not sign posted anywhere! Once in the VIPs section you could get not get any where near the front of the stage due to the amount of chairs!
After the first 3 artists played we made our way to the front area to watch Billy Ocean by this time is was dark I tripped over 3 chairs folded up on the floor and due to people still having there chairs up there really was not enough space to dance and enjoy the performance we were crammed in like sardines, 2 of my friends left. I believe a venue like this should not be allowed chairs in the front arena.
Also the wine on offer was like drinking potpourri for nearly £30 a bottle it was disgusting and a waste of money it was that bad I did not drink it alot of people were also complaining about it .
I dont think for one minute we got VIP service and probably would never return unfortunately.

Sorry - but it took far too long to get in- we go to events here all the time and have never experienced this before - it appeared this meant that the Boney M performance was cut short - so disappointing as they were great.
The drinks options and prices were awful - why only offer dark fruits as the choice of cider? The wine was overpriced and foul tasting - it just felt as if we were being ripped off - your bar staff were all lovely however...
Soul 11 Soul were really not good and seemed to be antagonising the audience for some reason?
Sister Sledge were on a whole other level of fabulous - we loved them! Sadly, we had spent so much money by the time that they finished that we decided to call it a night and so missed Billy Ocean - sorry to say that we will not be attending next year.

The VIP section was a nightmare. To small an area for the amount of people and the only thing about it being VIP was being closer to the stage. I don't drink alcohol so can't comment on that and my group are before we got in the venue. To many gaps in the music. I would only go again if it was better

Very poor food provision need far more stalls/vans if restricted from bringing in own picnic. Queueing for an hour or more at all food stalls.
Bar prices unnecessarily high.
Event started late so Bands had to cut performances short or rush through their set.
All the Soul bands were excellent, music & sound good but as a whole event needs improvement.

Great venue, great music acts. Start was delayed because of queuing time to get into venue. Don't know why this took so long. So obviously the first 2 acts there time was shortened quite a lot. I felt there was a lack of choice on the lagers to drink. The queues for the food was horrendous with the young staff just didn't seem to know what they were doing. As per all these events the cost on the drinks and food were so greatly inflated. Toilet facilities were great for the men and some queuing for the ladies.
