Review of Hastings Reggae Festival 2024
VIP toilets were defo not VIP. Last year in VIP had proper toilets with sinks and lights this year just portable loos with no lights so men were just pisssing everywhere and just a sticky hand sanitiser to wash your hands. There was too much time between acts and nothing keeping the atmosphere going. The best by far was general levy if not for him would have been a complete let down. People were leaving early which we followed and ended up in Hastings town having a great night.

Headline acts originally promoted did not attend. No Mc when live acts changed sets, that ment long periods withhout music . When music was finally played the volume was low and the same selection of music was repeated. The sound checks and set up were poor, i e when Aswad performed the trombonist could not be heard throughout the entire set,even though the average time for the band changes were o. Average 45 minutes to an hour the It was the 2nd time this year i have attended a large Reggae event in Hastings with the same outcome. Its a shame with a wonderful dedicated audience not to be given the entertainment they deserve. Have deep reservations to attend future events and felt deceived that the acts who were originally headlined were not in attendance. Cannot promote this to my friends and family unless the ongoing tech issue are sorted and at a mimimum a Mc is employed throuhout the festival to take care of the Reggae fans.

2nd yea attendance and will be going again as soon as tickets available. Fabulous set up. Great atmosphere and location venue. Well organised. Thank you to all the hands behind the scenes. 5 🌟
