Waiting in line for food for nearly 3 hours and missing everything was absolutely shocking. Music wasn't great and nothing was as advertised as the video. Small area with a few stalls and extortionate prices for everything. Never going to this again. No benches or seating areas for anybody either. Nothing like the promo video!!! Stage singers took too long coming. This was a waiting festival. Everybody was waiting and not enjoying it

Very disappointed! For something called a "cook out" there were hardly any Caribbean food stalls. The service was slow and the ques and prices were ridiculous. Hardly any activities for the children and the stage was a million miles away so you could hardly hear the food. This could have been a really good event and something Leicester needs but the execution for this was poor.

It was our first time going to this event,we had a great time, dancing, drinking, eating, the vibe was fantastic ,got totally wasted drink and burger we're not that expensive ,have been to other events and the prices have been a total rip off, hopefully next year we will have this event again with the sunshine then it would be perfect

Wasn't as advertised. I was expecting more than 2 Carribbean food stalls, the music was very drum and base, not what I paid for or was expecting. Walked the length of the venue and left very unhappy.

Very disappointing, poorly organised only 3 stalls selling food, 2 sold out very early. Queued up over 3 hours for food and food was not worth it. Felt sorry for food vendor as simply could not cope with demand so everything rushed. Will not attend this event again

The whole event was very good with a great atmosphere and good music. However the food service was poor, although you would expect queues at an event like this,I queued for 90 minutes and probably still had a further 1 hour to queue. We gave up and went home for a take away. What a shame as this is advertised as a cook out so the food supply should be so much more efficient, with more venues. This meant we also missed the best of the music. What a shame.

Very badly organised. Disappointed by the lack of food vendors with it being a cookout. Paid £16 for frozen chicken strips coated in bottled jerk sauce, microwaved plantain, and a store brought pattie. Only to get food poisoning the following day. Just awful. Wouldn't recommend, or attend again.

I attended the Big Caribbean Cookout yesterday and, to say the least, it was a disappointing experience. After waiting for 4 hours, I was served undercooked chicken that still had visible blood. This is not only unacceptable but also a serious health hazard.

Despite being advertised as a cookout, there were only a few food stands, which was incredibly disappointing. Additionally, the pervasive smell of w**d throughout the event was overwhelming, making it difficult to enjoy the atmosphere.

The layout of the event was poorly planned. The music stage was so far from the food stands that it was impossible to enjoy the music while queuing. Furthermore, nothing about the event genuinely reflected a Caribbean fair. There were limited activities for children and only one gift stand, which did not provide much variety or excitement.

The pricing was outrageous. The gate fee felt like a scam, given the lackluster experience and the long wait times for food. I am extremely frustrated with the amount I paid for such a subpar event.

I believe I am owed a refund for this disappointing and overpriced experience.
