Review of The Big Caribbean Cook Out!

The music and vibe of the event was great! The kids had lots of fun on the rides. However, there were only a few stalls for food. We waited for 2 and 1/2 hours for food! That's is terrible! Especially when you have kids. One of stalls stated they served halal food but when we were at the front of the queue we spotted them using the same cooking tools for pork and chicken! That is not halal and absolutely disgusting to have halal signs all over the stall. Good music but terrible food and service.

Absolutely fuming that we had to leave early, my partner needed to nip to the car park but they wouldn't allow him out unless he paid for another ticket to get back in so all the family had to leave before we got a parking fine..think it's disgusting that they wouldn't let him out to do this after we paid a lot of money for all our tickets. We won't be coming again.

It was a total waste of time and money.
Me and my family did not spend any time together apart from walking out the venue.
Two BBQ pits for jerk chicken for 1000 of people. We waited 3 hours for just some chicken and bread.
The cost of the kids entertainment was very little and so expensive.
For it to be called a cook out with only 3-4 food vendors was ridiculous.
I wouldn't visit next year and will not be recommending unless some serious changes were made.
£25 entrance ticket for what? One parent to wait for food and the other to look after the kids.

Some of the acts were not the best, others really created an atmosphere, the final act should off come on earlier

The queue for the food was too long waited 1.45 hours for it and had to return it as was not cooked. As it was advertised as a cookout was expecting more food stores. Also expecting craft stores. Something about the history of the Caribbean.

I was expecting more cooking tents,
We queued for over two and a half hours, to get food. There was limited vendors to cope with the demand and worked slowly, as unconcerned with the amount of time pepople had to wait. But the food was nice, once you got it.
Only draw back was that we missed a lot of the acts preforming at the other end of the park.
The security was offensive and racist, and asked to search my purse for drugs. They assumed that a black face , takes drugs no matter what. They need to adopt alternative methods, to stopping people bring in drugs, like sniffer dogs. Then search those people.

Line up was released too late in the day. The food choices were slim, 5 food stalls and 2 hours wait! Not a big cook out at all. Shocking

Music wasn’t loud enough, so that put a dampener on the atmosphere.
Not enough food tents people were waiting for 1 hour to get the Caribbean food.

Well what a big disappointment that was! Firstly i dont understand why there was a fee to get it when everything was so expensive anyway! Was not worth a single penny! The food was okay as in flavour but the portion size was a joke and my curry goat was literally all bone, no meat! And coleslaw tasted funky!! Kids rides were terrible and were over priced! It was cheaper when they had the fair there! Was just expecting something a lot better than what was advertised. My expectations were not met and i would Never recommend coming here.

Layout could have been bigger so room to move around. Too much security. Music wasn’t the greatest, need more variety and long queues for food. Drinks was expensive considering it was a family event. Not enough rides for kids as there was limited space.
