Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
Music very good. Atmosphere good. Organisation poor. Poor signage at beer tent queued for over 1 hour just to get a drink. Got to the bar only to be told had to get in another queue for the drink I wanted. Therefore missed some of the music. Food vans x 3 for allegedly 3,000 people… food over priced .. not enough variety nothing appropriate for children to eat apart from pizza at £10 each. Food and drink had run out by approximately 6pm. Not enough toilets again long queues missed more music. Last band cancelled due to rain.. which was unfortunate but could not be helped. Steep learning curve for the organisers.. clearly out of their depth. Would definitely not go to this event again.

Fantastic cover bands, loved the Killers tribute and Fake Bez! , few issues with the bar but didn't bother me too much. Queues long as expected and lager ran out early doors. Didn't eat as had a big breakfast so no idea what the food availability was like. No trouble that I saw and in general a good day. Would definitely go again.

Absolutely diabolical management run out of all. Be there within a couple of hours queueing for our time just to get to the bar to be told there is no beer. Absolutely disgraceful in fact i would like to find out where I can make an official complaint ruined a really good Day

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
The line up was brilliant and between them put on a really good show. Shame the few badly behaved attendees spoiled it for the rest at the end of the show - but to be fair I think the rain had already put paid to the Kazabian and firework finale.
The refreshments and food stall were an absolute shambles. Queuing for well over an hour each time for a £6 pint is ridiculous and meant that for the entire event (1pm - 10pm) we only ended up having 2 drinks because fetching a pint meant missing so much of the acts that we really wanted to see.
It was poorly thought out by the organisers because had there been 3 or 4 outdoor bar areas, people would have drank more and therefore spent more. Given that taking in your own refreshments of any sort was strictly forbidden (although we saw a huge amount of people that had seemed to get away with it) this really put a bit of a dampener on what otherwise would have been a really good gig.
I’ll definitely be attending next year - if there more bar areas to reduce waiting time.

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
From our experience, everything was great apart from the ridiculous queues for drinks (40 mins) and the fact that there was no beer left by early evening. Improve the refreshment planning and this would be a really good value event.

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
Was a shambles from start to end. Ran out of beer by 5pm, ran out of food not long after. Queues of over an hour or the bar meant members of the group were always queueing, and entire acts were missed. Music was ruined by the VIP tent being too close to the main stage.
Having enough bar capacity, enough stock or enough food and allowing people to enjoy the event and not stand in non moving queues is a basic for running an event.

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
To add to my earlier review. Due to the incompetence of the bar seeing only £ signs they probably did not notice the amount of glass shards ground into the rugby pitch. This was a result of the bar selling glass bottles to account for their lack of ability to serve drinks in a plastic glass, and the vast queues as a result of captive market draconian drink restrictions. As a lover of Rugby this was horrifying. How can Leicester Forest RFC guarantee the safety of this pitch for the forthcoming season. Contact between face and grass is all part of rugby. I sincerely hope nobody get disfigured as a result of the incompetent greed of this event.

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
In brief the bands were excellent,
The location was good and thats the last positive.
Queuing for drinks over a hour each time, way over priced, so didn't bother after 2nd occasion.
Food was the same.
V.I.P. tent disco was drowning out the main stage at times.
Security were very laxed

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
Poorly organised - it took nearly 1 hour to queue for a drink and they had way too little catering outlets for the number of people in attendance. The bands were ok but nothing special.

Long queues for bar. Queuing for 40 minutes to get a drink to be then told there was nothing left. Came to watch bands, not spend the whole day queuing for everything. Not enough food outlets resulting in very long queues, then running out of food and having to close. Last band cancelled.

Review of This is how it feels in the park festival
Complete and utter disorganisation. Over priced drinks, no basic food, no fun fair. Queued for 1.5hrs for our first drink so missed artic monkeys and most of UB40 tributes. Not enough loos, VIP tent way too close to main stage that the DJ drowned out the real music. Then the headliner was cancelled due to H&S. never again.

Everything was excellent except drinks situation. Queues of up to an hour is just ridiculous at a festival. Would have been better have pre pulled drinks to hand out. Because everyone knew the queue was so long everyone bought more when they were being served which led to longer queues.
Music was great as was venue
