Review of Manchester Reggae Festival
Too crowded, one food van for all those people was ridiculous was waiting over 40 mins in the que and wasn’t even half way got that frustrated we all decided to leave. Too many young people the changeover time was too long. Last years venue was something to remember this years venue makes me not want to return again very disappointed after purchasing 7 tickets and looking forward to it for months for you to cancel 2 headliner acts and cut it from 3 stages to 1 not worth the money. And for you then to shorten the last headlining act everyone waiting to see to 4 songs. Would not recommend

Such a shame that notified so many acts had pulled out as that is the reason many people purchased tickets.
Queues outside for food were relentless more food vans would have been better.
Acts that did play were excellent our favourite Ruff Trade homegrown boys.
Atmosphere was excellent though really diverse crowd and no trouble at all even though the drinks were flowing.
Bar prices reasonable and bar service excellent.
More toilet staff needed one lady all day felt sorry for her.
All in all had a good day but disappointed at the bands that pulled out.

This was a con! It was supposed to be in a number of venues within the Academy and one of the main reasons we booked (5 tickets fpor family and friends!) was to enjoy the reggae in the smaller more intimate rooms. Also to see main attraction Black Onohuru. When we got there it was to find that they weren't playing and the bands that were on the set list were all one after another in the main academy One which was crowded. Why no prior announcement? This was a really disappointing event and a total waste of money.

I really enjoyed the music but the organisation could have been better. Janet Kay was my favourite. One food van to all the attendees come on be realistic cued for an hour cos I was starving.

Fantastic music from living legends . After he did a special set, I Got invited backstage to meet Eek- A- Mouse who was friendly and gracious. Yellowman was on fire! These guys know how to emit positive energy which is contagious!

Really hot and stuffy as the night went on BUT seeing chaka demus and pliers was worth all that and more! Could of done with a bit more vatiety of songs during the interval rather than a repeat of the same few songs! Prices were a bit high with no option to buy drinks vouchers this year! But all in all a great night again! 2nd year here for us...the atmosphere was out of this world! No trouble just pure good vibes 😍💃

Overall poor and unorganised, very disappointed with numerous acts cancelled, and only one food van which took a hour to queue in which meant missing the acts.not what was promised on the tickets and think a refund should be issued..

Review of Manchester Reggae Festival
Several of the bands advertised as playing were not there and no mention was made of this until we turned up at the venue. I think the reduced presence of acts should be reflected in the price.
Also, no where near enough food stalls for a full day event.
Music that was on was great
