Didn't get in and wasn't given an excuse

This is the third time I've bin to sankeys with a ticket and not bin allowed in and to make it worse they don't give you a reason. Place is a JOKE!

It was only my second time to Sankeys but recognised loads of people from my first night a few months ago.
The crowd was mixed ages- the usual younger party kids, but quite a few origional Hacienda folk. Bez from Happy Mondays was off his head- again!
Nothing is cheap in there, but there must of been about 40 door staff alone, so they got make money from somewhere.
Main room and the room upstairs had the best tunes, loads of late 80's and 90's house remixes- not as cheesy as you'd think.
Women were looking lush as usual-

What a joke

The event was a farce waited in queue for 40 mins to be told we weren't getting in when asked why they just said youse are just not coming. I also heard that a number of other people also had this happen to them. I find this disgraceful as I travelled a few hours from Sunderland and waisted money on travel and on a hotel. Propa ruined my Christmas

Thanks to bring to Manchester this amazing dj .... one only thing, i couldnt hangle to wait to see Fatboy Slim, since 10:30 pm, you should be more flexible with the time, everything else perfect.

Not great

Overall I had a good time was mainly down to the fact I'd booked a booth and the lady managing the area was really friendly and really made the visit a pleasure!
I felt ripped off however the vip area was a joke just tatty booths where any twit could sit, only 2 rooms were open, the toilet situation borered on insanity! I mean it was a scrum to get in and out WTF was that about? There was a lot of attitude in the club lots of chavs looking for trouble! I would not come back I heard sankeys was a wicked club but on what i saw its very middle of the road. Thomas Gold was great and rocked it shame there was a lot of negatives :(

Pathetic!

First of all my friend was denied entry even though we booked tickets months ago so it spoilt the evening for us. It was impossible to get near the toilet earlier on and even though there are toilets upstairs they wouldn't open the upstairs. prices for drinks are higher than anywhere else i know and it felt like you could get murdered in there and no security would come to assist you. Rain was dripping into the dance floor area and made the floor slippy and dangerous i think sankeys has seen the last if me and i won't be returning again

Was denied entry because they over sold tickets

Sankeys denied myself and my boyfriend entrance because they had over sold the venue even thou we had bought tickets months before the event.

Fantastic night!
Problems: one toilet, which was a shared washroom. Long queue for smoking area - licensing or lack of security? Was a bit cold inside the club, could do with being a few degrees warmer.

Top points: speedy entrance, music very good, staff were dancing behind the bar (nice atmosphere), service speed at bar was fast, club layout good, nice people allowed in further adding to the atmosphere - only one or two chavs, female door picker is a good idea.

Even though this was at sankeys...the club i vowed never to return to it was a decent night due to there only about 500 people there...really enjoyed Menno de Jong's set :)

I would say Illuminaughty is a great brand to show interest in...just not at Sankeys...brill sound,brill costumes lights etc...rip off drinks and the strangest smoking queueing system and upstairs rammed beyond belief...thanks but no thanks!

Good night, could have been better

Had a good night with mates, can't fault the DJ's, however the door staff were vile. Rude, arrogant, ignorant, self important and for no reason.

I did get in, a few friend had to argue their way in despite having photographic ID, valid e-ticket and arriving early. Seems to be a usual occurrence at Sankeys.

Ridiculous entrance & crowding, sick night in the end

As everyone else, queue was stupid - waited for over an hour but eventually got in. Too hot, too crowded.

However once in, and got a drink & found my mates turned out to be a great night music wise

I bought a ticket and waited for this night for many days. I've heard a lot of good opinions from friends about Sankeys. My girlfriend really likes Ellen Alien and we really wanted to see her. We have never been in Sankeys before...
A woman at the entrance let my girlfriend in and turned me away without giving me any reason!!! I was not drunk, I was not rude...
This was supposed to be a great night..., and i was very disappointed. Probably i never go to Sankeys again

I've been going sankeys almost every weekend since I turned 18 last year, me and my friends planned the same. I planned out and spent a substantial amount of money on my Costume which included face paint, for me to arrive and be turned away, 4 times, for no good reason. I wouldn't mind but I rubbed my face paint off so the bouncers would recognise me and they still turned me away. Another thing which annoyed me was that, they were letting people who had made zero effort in, and also underage people in. I always refer to sankeys as my '2nd home' & recommend sankeys to friends and I always bang on how good it is but I feel hugely let down and disappointed. I don't think I will be attending the sank pitt again
