Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
Went on Friday, there was no bands which was very disappointing. It was a great central location. Prices for food and drink were shocking, one Ice cream van wanted £3 for a bottle of water, while I was there I didn't see one person buying food or drinks from vendors in food vans, the staff actually looked so bored. I will say though all the business in the tents were reasonably priced. Fun fair rides were so over priced, scarrots funfair are literally half the price or less. We were there most of the day and did not see one person on the big wheel. I honestly think if Prices for food and drinks and fun fair rides were cheaper they would have had alot more people buying.
Overall I think next year needs less funfair, cheaper food/drink, more variety of things to do and see, also similar stalls would be great.
Balloons were good but disappointed that no shaped balloons went up and there were some advertised to go up so a bit of misinformation there.

The website advertised all different styles of balloons and we didn't see any other than regular shaped hot air balloons!
The parachute display team consisted of 3...no hope of seeing any of the events in the main arena unless you didn't move from your spot from hour to hour.
In all very disappointed...also the cost of fairground grounds, food and drink was extortionate!!

Really well organised. Good direction on parking. The firework display was fantastic. Great entertainment in the main arena. It was lovely to see the hot air balloon's fly, the pilots did an excellent job of flying on Sunday evening. And 25 balloons on Saturday. Fantastic weekend for all the family.

Couldn't hear the music or the person talking about the balloons, evening glow was going on we was sitting a little furth back as there was a large crowd of people near the briars. Would recommend have more speakers furth back as large crowds of people. All we could hear was the noise from the fun fair behind.
We did watch the re-enactment and stunt team and had better speckers or more speckers. It was better at Billing Aquadrome as had fun fair further away and could hear what was said, but still enjoyed it a lot.

It's brilliant to pre order tickets so you're good to go on the day but it should really be cheaper than paying on the day/ door.
Second year of attendance. Brilliant local festival.

Sorry but everything was expensive it's used to be free entry. The fair rides and things expensive things in the marquees were overpriced..was no shaded areas either. No I was disappointed was better years ago. Less there for the actual festival also. Sorry but we're in a cost of living crisis right now aswell. Very costly everything.

Review of Northampton Balloon Festival
Purchased tickets using Skiddle for the Northampton Balloon Festival, easy to purchase the tickets and beat the queues. The event was 80% a funfair that cost £5 a ride! I saw one Balloon partly inflate but that was it. The Vikings and Civil War acts were good. My favourites were the birds of prey and the stunt shows. Probably won't return next year
