Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Was disappointing that the event this year was indoors! Last year we had lots of space on the fields, would like to have been notified of the change of venue

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Advertised as an outdoor festival but the stage was inside what looked like a large agricultural shed. The sound was poor unless you were standing close to the stage.
The only area to sit outside was a car park; not much fun sitting on a picnic blanket here! It was also very dirty, covered in cigarette butts and other litter. All the grass area was fenced off.
Poor choice of food, only chips, pizza, burgers and all very expensive. However, the quality of the burger was very good.
Organisers should have been upfront with what to expect. It was definitely not as advertised.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Expected the event to be outside like last year which was a great day. The shed was dirty and when sat on the blankets on the floor people were walking over us. The music was good however you didn't know the line up until you got there and there were less acts than last year to which was disappointing. Inside toilets were disgusting don't think they had been cleaned from the night before. Food & drink was so expensive. We made the most of it with our girls but have to say will think again about going back if it's indoors agai, festivals are ment to be outdoors with atmosphere from the start, which this lacked. Disappointed....

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
The stage was set up in a hanger and we expected it to be out doors so took a blanket to sit on the grass it was advertised as a family event and the only ride was a waltzer not suitable for the age of my grandchildren. The seating area outside was next to the waltzer so the only music we could here was that of the fair ride. We spoke to a few people and they said how disappointing it was and some had come along way to get there. We, along with many others left early and very disappointed.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
This was our first skiddle event. To be honest the whole experience was not without disappointment. The carpark pricing was I think an act of greed, the venue has ample space for free parking and the venue is also some distance from the town. The fact it was advertised as a family friendly event was also missing leading as you could not bring your own food. The price for food and drinks was also an act of greed. Once you are in the venue you could only pay these prices. We bought 4 glasses of c**e, they served this from a bottle and changed £12. That is about £10 mark up on said bottle. Not very family friendly was it.
The sound of the music was good in all. The whole thing was in a big metal shed. We sat , say half way down the length of the shed but all the speakers were at the stage end, when the artist spoke on the mic it sounded like you were at the wrong end of a train platform. I'm no sound engineer but more speakers at the opposite end of the shed would have helped.
My summary is after paying what we did. We did not get value for money. I have been to see main stream artist such as Rag and Bone man at Lincoln showground this experience had a wow factor. Food and drink was more than normal, the carpark was also free.
Skiddle will need to try harder for me to book another event.

Absolutely shocking experience, never to be repeated! Ripped off in shed with the worst acoustics I've ever known. Atmosphere like the moon. So many people leaving after a couple of hours it was so bad.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Was a lovely wa sunny day. For some reason stage was inside a tin can, no one wants to be inside on a day like that or in a tin can sweating! Music was poor, no atmosphere, most people left after couple of hours, 5 food stands, 1 bar.... Sat in a dusty car park.
Would not go back
£14 ticket, £10 parking- waste of money

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
The music performance was good, but the event itself was poor. Sold as an outdoor festival event, but was actually a few artists performing in a tin shed hanger. Seating was on gravel car park or concrete floor of the hanger. Hardly any food establishments and all over priced. No stalls or anything to wander around like at normal festivals. We felt disappointed for the artists performing as they did a great job but atmosphere was non existent (until the very end) in the hanger due to the venue and sound quality was also poor. Lots of people left before the end and even at the start once aware of the venue. Would not book again and would discourage anyone else from doing so.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
We went to the festival last year and it was really good. The bands were good and it was in a field as you expect, prices of food and drinks were steep but expected. Theres no transport links nearby which is annoying but we booked a premier inn about 7 mins away and got a taxi. This year we could not have been more dissapointed! There was no info about who the bands were or what time they were on before we got there, which is dissapointing but the kicker was that they moved it into a big empty barn/hall/warehouse. The food vans were on a bit of a carpark next to the barn. Not a blade of grass to sit on. So your choices were sitting on a hard, cold, sticky concrete floor with hardly any view of the stage, or the tarmac carpark outside where you can't see or hear the stage at all. I've never seen anything so poorly organised in my life.
There was nowhere to dance near the stage as the VIP section was huge so there's nowhere for us paupers to sit or dance behind the huge barrier. The acoustics in the barn were so poor you could hardly hear what was going on. I've never known anything like it. A festival should be outside! It's a given to be prepared for the weather, it's England!
We managed to stay 2 hours then had enough and left. I've emailed a complaint to the lookalike organisers and requested a refund and I won't be coming again next year. Absolute dissapointing s*** show.

It was sold as festival vibes but it was held in a shed/barn. No stools to look round and a few places to eat. Also had to pay £10 for parking on arrival which was disappointing. The whole day was fairly average.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
This was just awful. The billed acts were not the same as the ones actually there. We only stayed for one act and they were awful. The venue states outdoor festival and this was set up in a metal farm unit with a small amount of concrete outside. Acoustics were terrible. Atmosphere was downbeat with lots of people like us leaving pretty soon after arriving. So very disappointed.

Review of Look-A-Like Festival: Tribute Festival Newark
Have attended two years in a row now, 2023 was great. 2024 the event was moved into an exhibition hanger ruining the atmosphere and the acoustics and separating the crowd into people who were camped on a dirty concrete floor trying to enjoy the acts but unable to hear due to the hangar acoustics, and people outside on a gravel car park enduring the loud music from the single fairground ride. Food was fine but very expensive, £13 for a small portion of fries and pulled pork, £14 for a pepperoni pizza, £10 for a portion of cheese fries, £5 for a portion of plain fries. Security were rude and binned a can of energy drink rather than letting us put it back in the car 100m away, and tried to pour away baby milk. Drinks pricey too £7 for a pint of barely chilled lager. have asked for a refund given the event was miss sold as an outdoor festival.
