False advertisements. Sound was awful. Stage was unseen, inside not outside even though the weather was perfect, ticket entry price a rip off. Felt bad for those in VIP dunno what happened but awful event we left after 2 hours.

Review of Save The Rave: 90's Festival - Newark

Advertised as a outdoor event, but was indoor. Not a patch on last year, lacked atmosphere. No where to sit and enjoy the music, just a big hot sweaty barn... Hopefully its back in the open field next year as it just wasn't the same. We upgraded on the day to VIP for a clean toilet and a tiny patch of grass to sit on... Had a great time, but people were leaving early and we will question weather to go next year :(

Would've been better if it was outside and the amount of chairs, mats and inflatables was stupid, we felt uncomfortable standing somewhere as people were sitting and ended up blocking their view, got tutted at! Wouldn't go back

Expected outside, but was indoors, although no rain predicted.!! Was soo disappointed, as last year it was an outside festival.

We paid extra for VIP, however there was limited seating & tables avaliable, not enough for the amount of people who paid extra for VIP. There was no music outside, so atmosphere was pretty naff.
I complained, as did many others and eventually they managed to get some outside music sorted for us , which definitely improved the atmosphere.
However the music was a bit repetitive ....I was expecting a variation of 90s music & generes, but it was all very dancy and bouncy. The DJs needed to communicate their play lists, as a lot of songs were repeated.

Drinks were quite pricey, £6 for a small plastic cup of C**e!

The staff at the venue entrance were all very young and we had no way of telling who was staff & who wasn't! Think the organisation could have been better.

From time to time, 2 guys came round with a crappy bit of board, which they scribbled "4 shots for £10" on! Wasn't very professional.

All staff should have had lanyards or badges on, so they were easily identified as staff.

Security was good, they all had hi-vis wear on, easily identified and a lot of them.

The only part we were happy about really, was the sectioned off area at the front of the dance floor

Not really sure what we got additional for the VIP, as there we indoor toilets available to all & we had outside loos??

Absolute rip off, paid nearly £50 for vip to be sat in a concrete car park and music was in a tin shed, overpriced rubbish food and drink ..don't waste your money anyone!!

Absolutely shocking, supposed to be biggest outdoor venue, we was sat in a car park with 2 bars and 3 food carts, music was inside, Newark show ground is massive and all we got was the car park, absolute scam!

Thought it was an outdoor event on grass not in a car park, having to sit on curbs - not all 90s music was current music as well, no water fountain for my friend who dosent drink alcohol as stated there was.
Would go again if a nicer venue.

I was very disappointed in save the rave Newark. It was advertised as an outdoor festival which it wasn't. The main stage was basically in a big shed with too many windows so it was like dancing with the lights on. Hardly giving rave vibes, it needed to be dark.
Having paid extra for vip the only bonus of this was the fact you could be right at the front of the stage. The other facilities for vip were pretty poor. There were also meant to be pop up gin and prosecco bars which there were not and the food vans were massively over priced. I feel this festival has been falsely advertised and not at all what I expected. It's a complete rip off in my opinion £44 for a party in a shed is a joke and I definitely won't be going back! Hands down the worst thing I have ever been to. It's an insult to call this a festival!

Poor information on website. Didn't know what to wear as didn't know whether it would be inside or outside. Didn't know you had to pay for car parking. Food and drink a bit pricey. Acoustics in the building was not great. But an enjoyable festival with good performers, who did a good job.

Very disappointed as the event was in a hangar where there was no atmosphere and seriously hot. Left after trying for an hour and so did lots of other people.

Absolutely disgrace, get ready for MIS-SOLD refund demands.
Wasn't even outdoors.
People rolling g up with blankets etc. Couldn't sit down on the limestone car park!
7 portaloos unless you paid £20 VIP for the additional 4 or 5.
Felt embarrassed for the Artists as misold, poor sound quality, in the hanger.
Newark showground, you need to vett your bookings, as many will boycott this venue now.
Food and car parking way over priced.
And we our visitors that male best of all situations as a rule. This one beat us, we left and used our day elsewhere!
