Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Paid for VIP tickets but turned out to be a rip off. The regular toilets started leaking so they opened the VIP toilets up to all, leading to big queues. We didn't get anything else. Music was average, Freddie Mercury was the best act and we made the most of it. Token system a joke which probably meant they could rip off the traders and led to high prices- £24 for two kebabs, £10 for a small pizza, £4 small chips, £3 a small icecream. Nothing really for kids other than the rides which were £5 a go, and if you go for the full day this really adds up. It's a shame because we had been looking forward to it but left early. Wouldn't bother going again

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Paid for vip tkts for no reason at all. They allowed anyone to use the vip toilets of which there were only 3. So caused massive que. Prices extortionate. It's Chesterfield not London.

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Overall we made the most of the festival. But some things really let it down. Lined up to get in and nobody seemed to know what they were doing. Had to buy tokens to use to buy eve thing! So had to queue up to buy tokens to then queue up to get a drink or food. No exchange of unused tokens. It just didn't work and meant we didn't spend as much as if it were contactless venue. Music was good. Needed more food stalls and choice. Would I go again, probably not.

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Terrible out of tune artists, poor sound quality, paid VIP and got nothing different to those with normal tickets, very little info before ticket purchase, extra £5 to park car, pointless token system for further purchases which were all expensive 😤

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
We got the family tickets on early bird so feel it was very reasonable for a full day event.
Drinks prices were ok, food was a little on the high side and quite basic. The problem was cost of rides @ £5 per go which over the course of the day ended up way too expensive. If you want parents to stay and buy food/ drink you need to make the kids activities cheap so that everyone is entertained/ happy.
The act quality was a little inconsistent. Rhianna/ Dua Lipa were pretty awful!! Queen, Taylor Swift & Killers were great. Little Mix didn't turn up??
Line up/ official info should have been emailed out to all ticket purchasers a week before the event instead of bombarding us with reminders of "last chance to buy" etc. we already had them so didn't need to get these emails.
