Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Mixed quality of acts. Advertised bands when it was really just one person singing songs to a backing track a lot of the time. Very expensive children's rides so spent a fortune. But it was well organised

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
Best act was Queen by far. Some of the other tributes were painful to listen eg Taylor Swift. The price of beer was expensive. The VIP toilets were used by all and we paid extra.
The atmosphere was good not too busy.

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
It was a very expensive day out. I don't feel like it was good value for money. The cost of the kids' rides was very expensive. One of the rides changed the price of it halfway through the day, even though it was the same lad sat in it all day.

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
We had a great day out although apprehensive at first as appeared a but disorganised. We had bought VIP tickets and arrived for 11am opening as first act was meant to be on at 11.30 however gates didnt open until 11.30 and first act about 1hr later.
The venue was excellent and staff all very helpful.
The performers music were sensational especially Queen wished some had longer sets.
Improvements I would suggest are more food/drink stalls e.g a coffee bar, stalls e.g facepainting great at festivals for both children and adults some bands longer sets, more portable loos. VIP ticket holders were meant to have own bar and toilets but due to lack of toilet facilities this lead to toilets being used for all attenders. However staff did their best to manage this by opening channging rooms.
Please reconsider the token system and just be a cashless system for stall holders and bars.
Love the idea of making this a weekend event with camping.
Definitely will go again and highly recommend to others

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
The grounds were the perfect place to host this event and it could have been amazing had the organisers not been greedy or gave a damn about the people in there more.
Apart from Queen, these were not the best tribute acts as promised in your advertisements from what we saw.
I would not say tickets where checked well from my point of view . The person that scanned us in looked like an individual off the street. No company promotion wear to identify that she was staff. I even remarked that i thought she was with the crowd in front of us.
Our family ticket was scanned and she didnt even watch how many of us came through. This made me feel as though anyone could have got in and checks were not being done properly. Our collapsable chairs were patted down my bag was not even looked inside either of, despite calling it a bag check zone.
When I was in the loos, people were boozing it up with hip flask. Outside people were unloading packed lunches and cans/bottles of sneaked in pop and booze all around us. It seemed all too easy for people to managed to easily sneak in alcohol and food and whatever else. I mean i wish i had of tried now, but we stuck to the rules and paid the extortionate prices for everything to eat drink and ride on the day.
I had one boozy cider from the pop up bar and it tasted horrible. It was like as though it had been watered down with carbonated water.
I would have preferred to be spending my money with the rugby club bar than buying from these pop up bars run by the music festival, as i know that would been good quality stuff and not watered down. But I was not able to, unless I paid the VIP ticket prices initially.
Users at the venue were not respectful of the club toilets or grounds either, despite bins provided and Volunteer club members going around with bins in the crowds, people threw it all over the floor, loo paper and hand towels, which was newly provided thrown all over the cubicle, people were flushing stuff down the loos, that as adults we all know we should not put down them. Selfish people not thinking about how this causes problems for the venue in the future.
I know this happening inside of the club was out of your control as you cannot control peoples disrespectful ways, but we was promised multiple toilets, where we're they? One small row of portaloos? The club had to open up there own. As a buisness you should have ensured the club was not having to open up their loos. You should be providing what was promised.
Guests were also promised multiple water fill up stations, we didn't see one? If there were any, you had made sure these were not well advertised on the day, probably on purpose to force purchases from the vendors.
The best tribute acts? I think not. I swear two were the same act trying to be both. The crowd screams over the speakers were awful and irritating, and why? Everyone around us was fed up of dua lipa and taylor swift? Especially their out of tune performance and then the stupid crowd screams for some of the acts made it unbearable. You needed a skin full to make some of them appear good. Even the locals were complaining about their horrible ability to sing on social media. I am convinced I would of seen a better tribute act in my local boozer on a Saturday night.
You even promised more videos of the tribute acts running up to the event, days before it was stated infact it was promised more would appear. It didn't happen other than Queen which is quite obviously the only act worth going to see and he is in our local boozer in a couple of weeks for free!! That's why he is the act heavily advertised, he is what got you the ticket sales.
£5 for an ice cream and mostly everything there is that price each item. How can you charge £6 for alcohol and £5 for an ice cream? Extortionate.... and all to watch mostly bad tribute acts. The money I spent inc the tickets for entry, would have been better applied to a family day out at alton towers when used in comparison. Once the artic monkeys tribute came on, we'd had enough at this point and left early because of the rubbish feeling I had been ripped off and surrounded by super drunk people at a "family event".
People were respectful of peoples surroundings either, which I know again is out of your control, but some people had become idiots later on. We had stuff thrown at us in their idiotic behaviours and trampled on to get through quicker to where they wanted to get and we was near the back at this. Kids were not supervised and left to roam, another reason our belongings were trampled through not only by drunks.
There was plenty of room around families to dance and sit but some people just have no boundaries. It was no wonder people with younger families were leaving. Booze levels were not controlled and I can only imagine what it was like later on.
I was joined with 2 other families who came with us to the festival. They had enough by the time the Queen tribute act came on. I tried to stick it out a bit longer but we all had enough too. My kids just wanted to go home, which is a real shame for something we was all looking forward to going to.
Overall though, it was an opportunity for families and friends to get together for a dance, but it was laughable how rubbish the acts were.
We only went as locals to provide the Rugby club with some support, but I'm afraid I shall not waste my money again. I appriciate the effort from all the staff at Chesterfield Panthers RUFC and their volunteers. You all worked so hard for everyone yesterday. Thank you Panthers for hosting this event! I just wish I had a different outlook at it.
I am sure others did enjoy it and this is only my opinion, but you asked for my feedback chesterfield music festival and this is it, we didn't really enjoy it. I hope it can be used constructively going forward.

Review of Chesterfield Music Festival (Your ultimate family day out!)
The queue for the toilets was a joke , the vip only which you obviously pay extra for wasn't really worth it because there was people without gold wristbands in the same bit. Was just a shambles. Music and the people it's self and the workers was all great. But please make the vip worth it or I won't be paying the extra again. No queue jumping either. Pointless
