Spoilt by terrible stewards, ground preparation and better bands last year.
Needed to leave on Saturday evening, no preparation in car parks to help with weather. Security staff said "If you can't get out it's not our responsibility". I didn't say it was! But, no assistance at all and no prevention on the ground.
Nice, friendly fellow festival goers helped push us out. I shall look for a festival with better staff supervision and organisation next year.

A small festival which is presenting as a lot large one. No water on site for camper vans you had to walk down a hill about 500 M to then carry water containers back up the hill. We were told there would be pumped water early Friday which never materialised. We arrived Thursday evening to find only one food outlet was open which was in the tent site and the main arena was not opened till 3pm Friday. If you what a festival which shuts down at 10:45pm and does not open again till 11.30am with few facilities out of main arena this is the festival for you. Also posh loos were a waste of money 1 area for gents was closed for most of the time.

Fabulous little grass roots festival. Super friendly staff on sight, amazing childrens tent with full age range of workshops and entertainment. No beer aloud to be taken into arens site (camp site aloud) and 2 pints of ale costs £14 in the arena and cans of soft drinks were £3 each as a family of 4 2 adults and 2 children a round was £20 ! So very pricey! Small but varied choice of food stalls greek, fish and chips, noodles , pizza around £12 (could do with a salad bar) plenty of well looked after toilets, showers limited hot and working (this year). This festival attracts the most lovely people and you couldn't be in a better social group . The arena field is sloped so the view of the main stage is beautiful. There is a lot of cross over sound from the big top tent and main stage when two bands are playing at once so pick where you stand, If you want to hear who's playing. Top bands.
BUT .... this festival is not disabled accessible! And facilties are very basic. Unfortunately 2024 was wet and rainy and the mud was getting towards impassable by the end of the weekend for able bodied people . We had a disabled person in our group who had to leave Saturday morning she only managed 6hrs of music as the access to the sight was impossible to navigate with a wheelchair. Many disabled people left saturday due to site conditions. There were no provisions to matt any of the walkways even the access to the dissabled view point and entry ticket and bag check was not matted, so any where there was high footfall, toilets , entry, roads were hurenduss. there was not any disabled washing facilities disabled campers were put around the edge of the main camping field on a slope and with 2 broken legs you can imagine what we faced. Sighn of the times real people on site did there best for us as we dident have a blue badge as 2 broken legs dose not able you to have any special treatment as you are not actually classed as disabled and our emails of requests for information and possible concessions to help aid us to the sighn of the times team were dismissed and no help was offered or provided.

First time at SOTT and it won't be our last. Great location, great bands, nice food traders and a bar that wasn't OTT on price serving Guinness. 😁
Improvements needed are; fresh water supply to the campervan field - it's a big hill to be carrying litres of water, expecially in the wet, slippy conditions and more portaloos and frequency of emptying/cleaning.
The weather was horrendous, it was forecast, therefore a bit more planned action than reaction would have eased some of the mud bath issues.
That being said, thank you to the organisers for a well run event. ?'??'??'?

Overall the festival was great, unfortunately the poor weather made conditions extremely bad for vehicles and pedestrians. SOTT were extremely slow to react to help lessen the impact on drivers and many have been left stuck.
There was close to nothing in terms of accessible parking for blue badge holders. If you had a wheelchair you may as well not have bothered. We ended up parking out on a road outside the festival and risked getting a ticket.
We'll definitely return again, but hopefully SOTT will have put better things in place in case the weather is bad again.
