Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Toilets and Bar in VIP were an awful experience - more staff and more toilets are needed. Music was good and something for everyone although set lists changed and with no signal you could have easily have missed your favourite DJ - maybe having it on some screens would help. Good choice of food and drinks - staff working were all friendly and were working their socks off! See you next year!

The event layout was great, food selection stores were great, djs were awsum, great atmosphere, but £7,50 for a can of beer was a complete rip off, every year you put it up by £1 a can, that's the only thing I can complain about, all in all a great day ?'?
Be back next year🙂

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Where to start.
Under the disability equality act, requirements need to be met at an event. I had emailed previously, as I come last year and really struggled during the day due to a complete lack of support and accommodations for those with disabilities. I asked about having a chair which wasn't permitted so I paid for VIP for seating to have rests during the day. There should be an accessibly queue at the entrance at least, as I was stood for 45 minutes trying to get in as the scanners were down. The ONE disabled toilet was completely unassessible, there should of been security as people were just having sex and doing drugs in there. You should definitely have access wristbands and think about this for next year.
When I finally did get into the event the security guard allowed me through with rechargeable vapes and told me to stand and wait to get scanned by a female guard. Then another security guard yelled at me and pulled me out the way. I walk with a stick I'm visibly disabled and hurt me! He then snatched my vapes out my hand and went to throw them in the bin. £60 quid worth of vapes. The other guard said they were okay and I was allowed them back.
We prepaid for the wristbands and didn't receive the 10% extra offered?! Then when we wanted to top up, unlike last year we couldn't top up at the bar and had to walk back to the far end of the arena and stand for an hour in a mob of disorganised chaos and angry people. There was not enough staff on the bar and the ones that was, were clearly on drugs or screaming and shouting at each other.
This could of ended so badly and got dangerous really quick. I have videos of this as well. I'm aware the card machines were down but to expect people to have cash at a cashless event is ridiculous, especially the staff getting angry and annoyed at the customers for not having cash.
Not having toilets on the other side of the arena was a massive error and unsure where you would change it this year.
Now for the VIP bit... the sheer amount of rubbish was disgusting. You pay for VIP to not be able to use the tables as there was no staff to clear this up and it was all over the floor due to no litter pickers and lack of bins. The unmarked rubble sacks as bins? Whose idea was that. Only a few dotted around the place, no wonder noone bothered to walk to a bin there should of been more around everywhere!
The VIP toilets had no disabled toilets at all so had to walk up steps. When I did get in there they were disgusting I nearly threw up.
Last year was so much better, this year was unorganised chaos, drug fueled and dangerous. The set times were all over the place, so solid crew was on 4 hours early so we missed them!
I will be requesting a partial refund at least for the VIP section as I only paid for this due to lack of assessibility and it was disgusting and I was better off on the floor at the back of the tent then in there.

Freemasons we're just amazing, loved the vip tent, with the exception of the loos 🤮 main tent seemed to have a problem with the volume and the main bar was really terrible service wise, left after a 10 min wait to go back to the vip area as was totally ignored. Mostly a great day though but wish we'd just stayed in the vip area as that was a fab experience.

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Such a shame after vigorous security checks that people were still able to get drugs into an event like this. We left early it felt unsafe. People were falling over and being sick from early doors and there no security or police presence .The toilet facilities were hideous and being used for drug taking and there were no water fountains to fill our water bottles. We've been more than once but won't be going again after yesterday.

It took 1 hour to get the prepaid band topped up. That was longer than the unprepared tickets. No WiFi?? The loos where weirdly set out. They should be been spaced out around the venue. They also where dirty within a few hours of the event starting and run out of toilet roll. The drinks prices where very high. I was charged 7.50 for a can and someone else got charged 5? The prices do not round up either so 3 cans would leave a balance of 2.50 which doesn't buy anything g so u have to top up. Water should be free. Whether u like it or not ppl were taking g drugs and drinking excessive amounts

One of the big things that disappointed me on the day is the state of the portaloos the stretch was enough to make you heave and that was only after an hour of being in use.... And the wrist band system to buy £7 coder was annoying and to wait nearly 2 weeks to get refund for the money you put on your wristband is also a ball ache

Late opening again, just felt they were so unprepared. VIP toilets were a disgrace. Bar staff bless them....scanners not working properly and took over 45 min to get served

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Really disappointed with this year having had a great time here last year.
Could be amazing but way off the mark this year.
Bought vip tickets yet huge queue to get in, no staff direction and general entry much quicker. Security was really slow and disorganised with lots of people just standing around not doing anything. Would have helped for everyone manning the entrance to have been working as a team to get people admitted as quickly as possible.
Topped up pre paid drinks credit but wasn't told by staff you have to get this added to wrist band - thought this would be automatic and the promised extra 10% for pre booking wasn't added. Only found out you had to get credit added to wristband after queuing at VIP bar for over 45 minutes. The vip bar was hugely understaffed with the slowest moving bar staff I've ever seen. Many just standing around as they didn't have a scanner? Should have been triple the staff on with each having a scanner. Queued at other bar for ages and was eventually directed to a man standing to one side of tent with a scanner to add drinks to wrist band. Probably spent around two hours in total faffing around before we had a drink.
Faffing around getting in and then faffing around with credit took shine off our visit this year and we only went to bar once despite having credit for more drinks as could not be bothered to queues in vip bar to get more drinks. Really poor selection of drinks which were way overpriced. Everyone we spoke to felt the same.
Music not as good as last year, organisation did not seem as good either. Toilets in vip were disgusting with blocked toilets and no water. We left early and felt this year was a complete waste of money. Not a cheap event but the event felt cheap and poorly run this year.

Terrible bar service and at no fault of the workers.. totally understaffed the machines to scan the wristbands stopped working and delayed everyone waiting.. totally awful and shambolic at the end. get rid of the bar wrist bands if they are causing a issue and bring back debt tap and pay

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Feedback on the cons: Delayed start. Didn't get in until nearly 12 so missed the first hour due to security not being briefed and things not being set up and put in place( my bag not being checked properly either) So first sets played to no one.
Issues with wrist bands, all money being loaded on to the one band even though it was separate payments. Then we didn't get the 10% at the end once the balance was cleared and the staff had no clue about it. The fact it was £7.50 a can was a bit of a joke. You can get a 4 pack for less!
Then the set times for the band's to come on were messed up. So solid crew ended up coming on 5 hours earlier. Luckily we caught them. But other people who came later would have missed them. Then in the DNB tent when we wanted to see General Levi, we couldn't hear him sing at all as his mic didn't appear to work properly so it spoiled it for us.
Then the toilets. Geez not enough, half didn't flush at the start so then became over flowed and un usable half way through the day. I know it's a festival but some sort of hygiene standards from the beginning would have been nice.
The food carts would have been nice to have been spread out a bit more to.
Pros: i liked the fact the tents were close together, there were plenty of bars to grab a drink. Plenty of different foods to choose from.
Even though the staff were knackered, they were still smiling and ploughing along.
And no trouble that i saw. Everyone was there for a good time.
