Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
This was the third year Iâve been to Crooked house and it was the worst. Over crowded and the toilets were disgusting. Not enough facilities for all that attended. Queued for an hour to get in despite being VIP and then another half an hour to collect pre paid credit for wrist band.

Review of Beacon Park
I was so looking forward to it this year and we had a great time last year despite literally no disabled assessibility apart from issuing carers tickets and had one disabled toilet. I had emailed about this, allowing chairs for disabled at least. It took nearly a month for a reply, which said "leave this with me" and never heard back. No disabled queues and anyone could use the disabled toilet which people were using to do drugs.
Anyway where to start.... after queuing for ages to get in because the scanners went down, I got told to step aside to get patted down by a lady security guard. I was yelled at and pulled aside by a male security guard for being in the way (I have a walking stick) and he grabbed my rechargeable vapes off me and went to throw them in the bin. I yelled at him and he said vapes aren't allowed, until someone else said its only disposables. Nearly threw 60 quid in the bin! But somehow so many drugs got in this year.
Paid VIP this year for somewhere to rest when needed, it was lovely when we first got in but within the first few hours the tables and grounds were covered in rubbish and the toilets were disgusting.
Lack of bins and litter pickers were definitely an issue this year. The " bins" they did have were rubbles sacks which weren't marked as a bin so noone used them. Last year they has toilets on either end of the park which they didn't do this year?!
The offer of 10% free added to the prepayment wristband was a complete lie, noone had that offer put on. Last year, if you ran out of money on the wristband and needed to top up you could do it at the bar but this year you had to go all the way back to the wristband tent which was utter chaos because the card machines went down and they could only except cash.... at a cashless event?! It took an hour of queuing with a lot of angry people, they had a serious lack of staff on that tent and the staff they did have, were clearly c**ed off their faces.
Total lack of organisation this year, I get it will be a drug fueled atmosphere but this year was scary, last year was much more controlled and it felt safer. If it wasn't for the amazing d&b sets I would of gone home at 3pm.

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Music decent enough and put together at a good one day price but the setup for drinks prices was shockingly bad on top of the now sadly extortionate prices everywhere nationwide. After finishing my £50 drink bundle on my wristband, I contemplated topping up another £25 but thought better of it. However if I Could've had 1/2 more drinks, I would have but not another £25 worth. this should've been signposted on social media that this would be the ONLY form of payment accepted also. bad organisation on this front. first cash wasn't good enough, now contactless? it's like the live music industry wants to kill itself from the inside.

Review of Crooked House In The Park 2024
Terrible organisation this year. VIP waste of money, no water in toilets to begin with then ridiculous queues, queues for drinks at VIP because not enough scanners just awful really ruined our experience. So many people pilled off their faces it was like being in an episode of The Walking Dead! I know itâs a festival so itâs expected but this year was scary! A joke that lip glosses were taken off people yet kids were getting in with litre bottles of vodka and enough drugs to sink a ship which I guess is easy enough when some of the security were also off their faces. Only caught So Solid Crew (who we wanted to see) by sheer accident as their set time was changed by 4 hrs! Enjoyed the last 2 years - this year was like a thrown together shambles a real disappointment we wonât bother next year.

Review of Beacon Park
Yet another Skiddle event cancelled less than 24 hours before the doors open. What an absolute joke. Yes, you can get a refund but less your 10% booking fee. And yes, you can have your pre loaded wrist band drink funds back less the admin fees! Absolutleu appauling organisation and not the first time too. Exactly the same thing happened in 2021 with their Octoberfest event.
