Review of Ibiza Proms on the Pier at Blackpool Pier
Absolute con. Paid for VIP and got nothing VIP at all. Had to queue for ages to get drinks vouchers, then queue again for ages at the bar to find the only beer available was a ‘cheap’ can of Fosters! … for £6.25 (price per voucher).
Food choices were terrible (grotty burgers and chips) and extortionate prices too.
Once in you couldn’t leave … but we did, as felt totally robbed.
Could have been so much better … but we all left saying NEVER AGAIN going to a gig on the pier, or by these money grubbing organisers.

The venue was too small, it was too crowded, the stage was too small, there was no stage screen, the system for buying drinks was shambolic. You had to queue once for vouchers, once to buy drinks. There were massive queues even in VIP, there was no VIP viewing area. All VIP got you was access to another crowded bar area which was no better than other bar areas. A rip off.

Review of Ibiza Proms on the Pier at Blackpool Pier
There was nothing VIP about this event.
Having to queue for 25 minutes to buy drink tokens and then queue for another 30 minutes to get a drink was awful.
The choice of drinks was extremely limited and they ran out of ice, tonic and wine.
There was also huge queues for the toilets, which were also dirty.
The music was very good however.

Poor organisation. The ‘fully stocked bar’ was a lie as pumps ect were covered with black bin liners. If you wanted Gin or cans of fosters then it was ok £6.25 each. No ice after an hour. Food consisted of either burgers or chips) Massive ques for the vouchers (4 for £25 - one vouchers = 1 drink)
Also to be told we could leave to get some food (Gluten and Milk allergies not catered for) by the door team, then to be refused entry upon return was madness, a number of others were in the same boat and were being told ‘it’s not an eatery’.
Such massive potential but in reality didn’t deliver

The music was amazing however what a rip off at the venue. Minimum drink vouchers £25 for 4 vouchers which got you a one chappy drink no matter what all same price and if you wanted soft drink, 2 small cups. No ice left by 2 hours in and even refused tap water!
Toilets were awful not enough for the amount of people waiting to queue for 20 minutes. Shame as it really but a dampner on the event.

Poor organisation. To queue for tickets to buy a drink, then to have to queue to buy the drink was ridiculous. Paid extra for VIP which was a total waste of money. Ran out of lots of drinks by 6pm. Nowhere to sit down and chill out for a bit. However K Klass were brilliant

Easy access (no big queue despite close to last entry). Surprisingly thorough bag search - which think good thing! Confusion on entry - no warning of drink tokens required. Huge token queue. Then big vip bar queue due to overselling vips. Tokens meant drinks flat price - about 20% more than similar events. Ran out of Diet C**e. Very limited food - one small stall. Music acts very good. Engaging dancers. Good atmosphere and safe event. Poss too small venue for capacity. Limited info before from organiser.
