Review of Depot in the Castle W/ Clean Bandit & Tom Odell

We really enjoyed our day. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere that was well organised and managed. Our only complaint would be that we are not allowed to bring any food into the venue. We always support local street vendors at events like this but it would've been nice to be able to bring a few snacks to enjoy in the evening especially when the vendors run out of food.

Queues were too long for drink and food. I missed some of the big acts. Would of been nice to have more of an efficient queuing and keep people moving.

Only thing to improve would be to cut down on the time it takes to queue for the bar - 55 mins.
Really good venue, family friendly.

My five year old and I absolutely loved this! Tom Odell made our year! The activities for the kids was brilliant, the staff were amazing! The only thing that was slightly poor was keeping the smokers out of the family section.... lots of little people running around so a little dangerous in my opinion. All in all, brilliant day for my girl and I!

With so many people in attendance there was not enough provision at the bar. Some of the wait times were in excess of an hour and a half. This really impedes on your day and if you’re with children if makes it difficult for carers/parents to keep an eye on little ones. It really impacted on the enjoyment of the event. Perhaps allow people to bring in sealed drinks/alcohol so as not to have this situation next year. Would go again though as the music was amazing!

Gig,venue and food were great.
We took 4 kids in and couldn’t get a drink from anywhere apart from the bar which meant one of us cueing for over an hour whilst the kids were going very thirsty.
Soft drinks should be available from other sources you greedy bastards.
If things don’t change we will NOT be buying tickets from you again

Music was great, however the length of time we were expected to queue for water, food, drinks and toilets was unacceptable.
The portaloos had no toilet roll from the start of the event and weren’t replenished at all!

Fantastic music and venue Cardiff castle was the perfect setting. Love clean bandit and they did not disappoint. Only downside was too many unsupervised teenagers who were rude and pushing and shoving everyone spoilt what would have been a perfect day otherwise

The event was a family friendly with a super atmosphere....a great day out !
However the queues for drinks and food were huge ! over 1 hour for drinks !
To improve please supply easier access to food and drink as you are not allowed to bring either into the venue obviously ever person needs to buy

The bands were great and the venue looks lovely but it was poorly organised in my opinion. Queued for 45 minutes to get a drink and decided against buying food after seeing that the queues were just as long. The organisers failed to communicate the schedule, Circa Waves played before 6 when the live music was supposed to start at 6 meaning we missed them, was supposed to finish at 10 but Clean Bandit finished at 9.40... Lots of potential but poorly organised which is a shame

Atmosphere was great but queuesfor food and drink completely unacceptable for an event where I you were not allowed to bring your own stuff in . Over 1 hour wait for drinks and 40 min queue for food 😠
