Review of 6.45pm - Carlisle City of Lights: SCIENCE Son-et-Lumiere
I loved this, I do think the science part needs to be removed as it is abit misleading, it's more of a lights show with a slight science theme. However, loved it.

Review of 6.30pm - Carlisle City of Lights: SCIENCE Son-et-Lumiere
Atmosphere wasn’t really present on this occasion sadly. I wonder if the lack of defined sessions / start times of the light shows contributed to this. We all missed the ‘countdowns’. Also the ‘story’ with the light show wasn’t well defined and again I wonder if this was because it was on a loop and people joined to watch at any point during it. Still very enjoyable and pleased to support Carlisle entertainment.

Review of 7.30pm - Carlisle City of Lights: SCIENCE Son-et-Lumiere
Actually the music was great, it was the optics that lacked inspiration- we were given no intro, reading boards about women in science was just PC boredom and none of the themes were done justice by the light display apart from the hints on the Fratary display. it could easily have been far more impressive- where was the wow factors in the realm of astronomy, biological breakthroughs, computing, travel etc etc. old pages of writing, equations with explanations just made it boring.

Review of 6.45pm - Carlisle City of Lights: SCIENCE Son-et-Lumiere
I loved the lights and the atmosphere. We didnât go around in an actual group and we were left to figure it out for ourselves. It made the experience a bit stressful.

Review of 6.45pm - Carlisle City Of Lights: Hadrian’s Wall 1900
Good job it wasn’t raining,if you don’t have a basic clue about English history you wouldn’t know what all the shapes were about,we travelled from Leeds to see this and what a disappointment, you can’t go inside the cathedral, you got hearted like cattle from one venue to the other where anyone walking by could join in,and only to watch a load of odd shapes projected onto a wall.I suspect the fee was to pay all the security personnel that were stood around doing not much at all.Won’t bother next year.
