Grandkids loved it, but I think adults loved it more as it was geared for the whole family experience. Hope it comes back next year as it would be a definate yes for another family day out.

Review of Doncaster Hot Air Balloon Festival
My family and I joined a hot air balloon festival for the first time, but I felt very disappointed because we didn't see many other balloons, and the show times were delayed repeatedly. As a result, we missed the bonfire show and decided to leave.

The fact it's called balloon festival is a bit misleading when the balloons don't inflate until late on in the evening. We missed them as our kids were too tired to stay that late. The cost of the rides, etc. are absolutely extortionate (£4 or £5 per person for most things) plus a small slush was £6. We had already paid £11 for a family ticket to get into the venue (that was the cheapest option as we got the tickets on an early bird offer!), never mind everything else! Very expensive to basically just go to a fairground for a couple of hours. Can't say I'll be rushing to go back again. Might aswell just see the balloons from afar (and for free)!
