Review of Playground Festival
They needed more staff for the entrance as we had to queue for our wristbands. I had paid for VIP thinking that there wouldnâ??t be queues?! We then join another queue for the cashless wristband. I had already topped up at home so I didnâ??t have to join another queue for that thank goodness. We had wasted an hour & a half. Then we went to the VIP area for a drink the queues were horrendous. Another hour or so wasted there! We missed the band we wanted to see with having to queue! However we loved the cups as we ordered 4 drinks each & was able to carry them about with the cool design of the cups. It wouldâ??ve been good to be issued maps as I never thought Iâ??d not get WiFi! Couldnâ??t access social media to download the map. Time was wasted there trying to find stages & food stalls. I loved the vibe in the place when we were at the stages. People were as you can imagine really annoyed at the queues. In future more staff please as there were a lot of people at the festival much more than I expected. Great bandsâ?¦well what I actually got to see.

James, Orbital and Morcheeba all superb. Disappointed that Leftfield and Hot Chip called off late and there were issues with connectivity meaning cashless top ups were a nightmare but a great festival overall!

Terrible bar queues on the Friday and security staff were extremely rude to my 13 year old on the way out because she had orange juice in a cup and were very unreasonable and rude as we left. Prices of food were utterly ridiculous but to be expected

Extremely poorly organised. Queued for more than an hour to get wristbands. Bought vip tickets but the so called priority access Lane moved a lot slower than the regular access queues. It was announced that two acts (hot chip and leftfield) cancelled after the gates had opened. The programme wasn't announced until a couple of hours after gates had opened. The vip area was very overcrowded, queued for an hour to try and get a drink from the bar and gave up halfway in the queue because we would have missed James if we stayed any longer. The queues for the general bars were just as bad if not worse than the vip area. Glasvegas were very good but the sound wasn't great for their set. On a positive note, James were excellent as usual. Overall the event was a bit of a shambles, and I don't think I'll be going back next year.

Great event. Too overpriced with food and drink but each thing I ate was great so canâ??t complain. Amazing acts, fanominal atmosphere and great people who just took you in and had a great night dancing!
