Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
The atmosphere was mixed. People tried to have a good time but issues with the security guards over sitting down which should have been made clear when coming in. The prices at the bar and food stalls were ridiculous and the food was not even nice. I was very disappointed as was not what I expected.

No proper info available about the event, as in could we take chairs in or not. There was no itinerary of acts, maybe to disguise the disappointment. 11 acts were announced, and only 3 actually played. Draught beer and cider ran out by 3pm. Overpriced burgers which also had ran out by 4. The acts themselves were not much to write home about. A complete rip off. Also heard that VIP area only saw back of the stage and was also over booked. People came of area only to be told they were not allowed as it was full.. again a complete rip off

Vip tickets were an absolute rip off - couldn't see any of the acts from vip area and there was no queue jump as advertised. Prices were extremely high for drinks

Absolute joke, bar so poorly stocked, prices were ridiculous £3.50 for one lemonade! Knowing how many tickets had been sold ran out of all pumps by 3pm with another 7hrs till event ended! Disgusting

We paid for VIP and were very disappointed with it all. The vip area was facing the back of the stage so you had to go down to watch everything! The VIP bar and toilets shut well before the end of the evening. Other bars ran out of drinks and there were very limited food venues so queues were over an hour to be served. There was no separate Vip queue to get in which it had advised of!

The timings between acts was far to long, need more seating and how did you run out of draft beer at 2pm. You should also display a running order of acts.
Security was great, the loo was good. Suggest more vendors to sell food and drink

Well... where do we start?
We got there early with our camping chairs and pitched up and settled in to listen to the bands. A couple of hours in the bars had ran out of almost ALL the draught beers and IPAs and only had cans for sale at astonishing prices 😳
By 4pm security were coming round and issuing orders for anyone seated at the front to move to the very back of the pier and were very forceful about it large groups of them standing round you until you did actually vacate the area. Even disabled people were harassed about it. Food choices were limited and as per usual expensive.
Some of the listed acts failed to show up.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I will not be recommending this to my friends or returning

3 acts did not show up including the 2 I went for. Beer ran out, food ran out, no dietary requirements catered for and had my food taken at entrance, no water refill, VIP ticket at rear so no view of stage. Awful.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
The music itself was good. Enjoyed the selection of music but I think the acoustics didnt work too well in the setting due to wind etc. The options for food and drink were a joke. I could see food and drink being confiscated as people were coming in but the number of choices for food was naff. Absurd that most the food stalls were closed! Enjoyed the jerk chicken, although pricey (as expected though) Then the VIP area was an even bigger joke. Double the price to sit in an area where you can't even hear the music nor see it. There wasn't ample seating. I do not trust Skiddle moving forwards and you have lost my custom. I heard many other people sharing the same sentiment. Atmosphere in general was great but as always, there's the few middle aged and older ones who can't handle their drink or behave themselves considering this was promoted as a family event where children were welcomed (and evidently better behaved.) Security staff did very well to manage this. One drunken women in her 50s threw herself over the front barrier. What an embarrassment! Her and her friends continued to molest the poor security guard 25+ years their junior which he did well to put up with, gross, but shouldn't have to deal with. My biggest piece of advice for people considering future Hastings Pier festivals - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE VIP AREA. It's a con. My recommending future events is solely based on the performers and entertainment offered. The even organisers did a poor job in many other respects - food options and VIP area predominantly.

Decided not to go as not happy about being told we had to be in before 5pm as no admission after as was not able to go till 7pm. Also no line up times for the bands is not good! Heard from friends that went that the beer prices for a can of lager were far too expensive- heard really bad reviews regarding the organising of the event. Shame as I won't be booking anymore Skiddle events I'm afraid.

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
We arrived excited to watch Bowie , Fleetwood Mac , and oasis amongst others to find they had been replaced by Ariana Grande, Rod Stewart, and Spice girls !! Not that they were bad but NOT as advertised! We got in the queue and noticed that everyone was having their bags searched ( fair enough) but having sealed water , crisps, snacks all thrown in the bin !! So basically we were trapped for 10 hours ( you couldn't go out at all) having to buy pints of beer etc for £7 a pint .. spirits fir £11 ... can of c**e for £3.50 or more ..expensive , awful food which some of our group took back !! The toilets had run out of sanitiser right at the start of the day so we were in germ riddled ports loos with no hand washing available !! A lot of people got there early to set up their chairs which were allowed in .. elderly .. families etc just to be told 1/2 way through they had to all go to the back of the audience where you couldn't see , behind all of the standing younger people . We saw old people being turfed out of their chairs , many went home as they couldn't stand up so missed the show !! Disgusting !! Some security were apologising as they thought it all ridiculous but others were laughing .. enjoying the power and in fact making the whole atmosphere unbearable .. it could have been worse if we had paid for VIP tickets who were all placed high up on platforms in the gale force winds BEHIND the stage so you literally see the bands backs haha .. so disgraceful!! They paid £32 each . Most of them were down with us NON VIPS do they could at least see who was singing !! Our group made the most of it . We were going to leave after about 2 hours but we stayed . The bands were ok although not who we expected . Especially Elton John . Security & stupid rules almost ruined the day . The security should have been more hot on searching for drugs rather than taking peoples water , snacks etc . Would NOT book with this promoter again ! We go to Hyde park and other venues. Never known anything like it !! Although tickets for us were fairly cheap .. very expensive day out having to eat & drink there for 10 hours !! Oh and fraught beers etc ran out after 3-4 hours hahaha !! Shambles !
"Look alike " promotions should be ashamed !! If people look on social media I guess there will be many comments like this one !

Review of Outdoor Tribute Festival comes to Hastings!
Arrived 3pm. Beer on tap had run out. No food options. Saw at least 3 people (women) being escorted from venue by security. Within 5 minutes of arriving. Disposable plastic in use for drinks. So wasteful. Lots of rubbish flying about, lots of it will end up in the sea. Huge queues for the toilets. We left at 5pm. It's a shame because the acts were pretty good. It's a poor use of the pier really.
