Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
My only feedback would be a maximum of 8 in a group as you couldn’t hear what the actors were saying when we were at the back and therefore lost the story

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
lovely magical Christmas event attended with family, the atmosphere created, woodland walk, lighting the actors were all very professional, the sets created were amazing, the whole event was well worth the distance travelled and cost of the ticket was just right. Would have been nice to have stayed longer afterwards n the courtyard, but the food and stalls were too expensive, when buying for a whole family. A small increase in price with a free mince pie and hot drink would have been nice, to round off the evening as it was VERY cold! Recognition to all those that were dressed up, acting and making the evening what it was, each one of them deserves a BONUS, the event wouldn't be what it is without them

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Really enjoyed the trail - lovely lights and actors were great. Food was also good.
Just one comment - we visited later in the evening and whilst there were car park guides when we arrived there wasn't anyone directing cars to the exit when we left. It was very dark and the exit for cars was different to last year. One car in front of us got very lost in the car park.

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Very good , could improve on signposting as not at usual entrance and maybe warn people in advance on the website . Car parking slippery surface , maybe benefit from using something on the grass when it’s wet

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Not the best. Last year was much better especially for the children. Food offerings could be better although the pizza was delicious. I think there should be concessions for the kids

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Fantastic experience, so atmospheric and well organised.
Only negative is that there isn't a kids price. We live local and I came on my own with friends as couldn't afford.to pay full price for 4 of us.
Lovely in the courtyard to have food and mulled wine. Only thing missing was something sweet such as a waffle/crepe van.

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Wasn't worth £23 a ticket. Some of the actors were poor, disengaged and unsure of their lines. Odin, Holly King, Jester, Italian lady, old lady, Santa and Goatman all good. Others needed to work on performance and projection, we couldn't hear them: ice princess and person with goatman especially, this meant we missed parts of the tale. The Eskimos looked like they didn't know what to do, didn't even speak.
It could have been magical e.g., singers with folders and lanterns, smiling etc. And make sure actor's water bottles are not left on the set, it ruins the illusion.
Our friends had recommended it after visiting last year but we were so disappointed.

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Disappointed in the variety of food offered was not very child friendly and quite expensive. The trail was fantastic after we would have liked something like cake, biscuits, hot doughnuts child sized hot dogs cone of chips etc.

Review of Whatton House - Christmas 2022 - A Yuletide Tale
Made everywhere look really pretty but for almost £100 (for 4) I thought the kids would have been able to see Santa and receive a small gift. Wasn’t really much to do.

Review of Whatton House
We were really excited to take our kids to the Christmas experience (after enjoying the Easter one). The venue is incredible, the lights, music acting and costumes were superb & we cannot fault the event from those perspectives. The storyline was convoluted (even for the grown ups ) and as Christmas is a magical time for children, this event should be marketed for children 10+,. My children (6 and 3) were terrified (the giant ram shouting he wanted to kill children as he chased around us in the dark as an example), cried and wanted to go home. The storyline was over complicated, we just wanted to enjoy some Christmas magic for our children in a beautiful venue. I can’t recommend this for my friends with kids of a similar age.

Review of Whatton House of Horror presents Witchfinder
The concept of the walk was brilliant and the actors were excellent but we were sent round in a group of 13 people with a group of six in front of us so didn’t experience any of the ‘scares’. If we had gone round in a smaller group as it’s stated on the website that you would do I think it would’ve been a really good night!
