Review of Champions League Final Party
Brilliant atmosphere both before and during the game!
Venue was packed as you'd expect and so moving between the inside and outside areas was a pain.
Bar staff were great despite being super busy. Wristbands meant you could exit and return to the venue.

Review of Champions League Final Party
The organisation was very poor, no communication as to what was going on. Bought VIP tickets and we were up stairs with the fans separated and tiny screens to watch the game on. We ended up going outside. On the plus side the staff were really nice and the food was great. Won't be going back there for an event like this again though.

Review of Champions League Final Party
The organisation could have better. There was confusion about getting into the outdoor area, as you had to either go through the main pub, or round the back and into it. There are parts of the premises that you couldn't access the outdoor area from, but we were not told that. It was other fans that told us that we could leave the pub area and walk round.
The outdoor area was over sold for the capacity. There was one portaloo that I could see. People were queuing to use the bushes rather than join the queue for the portaloo.
Drink prices were right and in line with the rest of the city, if you don't want to pay £6 for a pint you'll have to stay home these days.
Atmosphere and crowd were great, really enjoyed myself and so did my son, which is why I got the tickets in the first place as the venue was fine with under 18's being there.
I think for the future, the Sandon should sell tickets for the outdoor area and the indoor areas as separate tickets, this would help with overcrowding and the initial confusion.
Will certainly come back for the next one though.

Watching the game Outside would have been easier if the screen was higher,we where there 2hrs before k/o to get a good spot but unless you where 7ft tall everywhere was restricted views..door staff wouldn't let us inside to watch the game(but was letting his friends in) watched for a while as loads where turned back unless you had yhe right handshake..beer £5 a can.. was excited to be at the sandon but left disappointed and not just because of the result.

Review of Champions League Final Party
Unfortunately some people (despite being patted down by security) were able to get flares into the venue, a guy near us set one off and a spark from it hit my wife in the face and has burnt her top lip, another spark landed on my new £90 top and burned a whole in it. So what should have been a wonderful experience turned very sour for us, I think in future we'll watch the game on television from the safety of our living room.

Review of Champions League Final Party
Venue wasn't great, toilet facilities were not adequate (I brought my elderly mother, two of the three female toilets were closed after half an hour as they said they were blocked. We paid £38 per ticket including booking fee and the food was atrocious, cubes of chicken in the curry, tables were too close together so you people were having to squeeze past you all of the time, especially when the food was being served. I certainly wouldn't return here again, not the best experience at all.

Review of Champions League Final Party
We booked the Champions League Final Party, here at The Sandon, as heard ot was 'the place to be'. Having walked around the building the day before, I did wonder if we made the right choice! However, on the day we arrived to find many Liverpool fans queueing to get in. We had to ask which queue to join for entrance to the VIP area we had booked. We joined 'our' queue, which took a good 10 minutes to get to the entrance. There were only a couple of security guards on the 'entrance', who searched us and gave us a paper wristband, advising which 'VIP lounge' we were in, before ushering us into a courtyard.
We had no idea where to go and asked a guy at the door of the building, who advised... 'upstairs'. We entered the building to find ourselves in another queue, which a guy was taking photos of fans lifting 'trophies'. To keep in the spirit of things, we were quite shocked to find this guy was charging £10 to take our photos, using our phones! I regret agreeing now as the 3 photos taken were not even good.
We went upstairs to find the 'Thompson Lounge'. We were taken to a table to join a family of 4. In this lounge the tables and chairs were so close together, you could not get to the bar, toilet or to get the food without asking people to move out of their chairs. The 'VIP' tickets included a 2 course meal. This was served 'buffetstyle', but by staff members. The choice was 'chicken curry or chilli with rice', which was pretty tasty. The trip to get your meal and back to the table.....a challenge. The desserts were served to us at our tables by members of staff. A much better idea. (Cheesecake or Chocolate cake.)
The toilets were inadequate for the amount of people. 2 ladies (1 out of order) and 3 mens, 1 of which I had to use and had no lock on the door. The game itself was well covered by numerous T.V's. Sadly kick off delayed by a good half hour, and I don't know if this was the reason why The Sandon offered a 'menu' for food to be purchased. This was a welcome idea. The staff on this occasion took our orders, payment and then brought the food quite promptly. One downfall...if you wished to pay by card for the food you had to queue at the bar. I paid cash! On reflection, I enjoyed the atmosphere that the other supporters created and so happy I was able to participate in this event.

Review of Champions League Final Party
We paid for the VIP ticket which was not worth it at all. No information shared before arrival of timings, dietaries etc. Queues were ridiculous and took a very long time to get in. In the ‘vip’ section, the way the tables were set out was ridiculous, you couldn’t move… even the staff were commenting on the poor setup. We had some food and ended up going to watch on the big screen outside in the standard viewing area - the atmosphere was much better and the screens were better too. That element was very good with the DJ - though there was lots of people just entering from under the fence, over walls etc. and security doing nothing. Not enough toilets. Definitely wouldn’t pay £38 for vip again - you would expect the experience should be better and it wasn’t at all. But had you just paid for standard, it was decent.
