Review of Escape Alive
The toilets were disgusting , but I liked the court yard with drinks , food and entertainment, I thought were everyone was sat down having drinks someone could have put some sort of entertainment on. We had to wait quite a long time in the queue and it was very boring they could have had actors to entertain us. Once going through escape live I thought the actors were very good and I liked the story at first and then it went kinda flat at the end and didn’t really finish the story. There wasn’t many scares and for some reason our group ended up with three other groups, making the group way to big meaning we could t fit in all the rooms and it ruined the experience for us

Review of Escape Alive
Was a decent experience but a bit more effort keeping to a story wouldn’t go a miss. The food court service definitely needs improvement, the staff could be bothered to serve at the burger bar and many people seemed to be in disbelief at the prices and value for money received. Other than that, not too bad

Review of Escape Alive
We attended on 29/10/23 making a 2 hour round trip. On entry, had to navigate a narrown road with cars coming in opposite direction. Queued in car for 10 mins, finally told to park on a grass. The grass was muddy and uneven. We actually got stuck in the mud and could not reverse - tyre spinning. Luckily when we came to leave, the car in front was no longer there so able to go forward. Wasn't a great start to the event though and made me anxious from the start worrying if we would be able to get out later. Was then charged £3 for the pleasure .
Courtyard was overpriced. The bar music interfered with cinema sound - too close. Texas Chainsaw Massacre was advertised at 8pm but they put Beetlejuice on.
Queued 45 minutes to get in the maze. At one point, the staff stopped letting people in and had a cig break (not even kidding). A man who looked authoritative turned up and soon told them to crack on but I just couldn't believe it when you've got a 6 meter long queue of people!
Actors were great but the maze lacked lustre. Not many actors in the mazes to scare. Lasted about 20 minutes and did catch up to other groups.
Staff seemed bored, not very friendly or trying to gear people up.
Highlight was Barry in the dungeon and the soldier - I like the theatrics of the soldier.
Comparison to Farmageddon, same price but four mazes with loads more actors and scares and more things to do/themed way better.
All in all, we were only there an hour and didn't want to part with our cash because it was so dear. Not much atmosphere going on. Need better lighting on the stairs too. I saw two people struggle/slip.
Castle and views of North Wales were beautiful. The only saving grace.
Tried it but won't be returning to future events. Did feel like a rip off.

Really enjoyed the experience, 1st visit to the castle. The team were excellent in the event. We attended an early 'performance' due to having young children and the experience was scary enough for them. Will definitely attend again.

We really enjoyed it. My daughter was too scared to go through so Matt one of the staff reassured her & came through with us so that we didn’t fully miss out. Great service, event & venue xxxx

Beautiful castle. Event only lasted half an hour. Other scarefests we've been to were much longer with more characters and scares. You had to pay additional for parking and the food was totally ridiculous costs. £17 for a dry burger, small chips and c**e. It was OK but won't go to this one again.
