Review of Escape Alive
Was a load of rubbish and not even scary at all you it was nothing like the trailer video and you got led into each room for a chat then they tell you to go through another room and it was only about 10 min walk through

Castle brilliant but the event was good… nothing special though. Overpriced and organisers underestimated the numbers of bookings therefore we were in the queue for nearly an hour just to get into the venue.

Fantastic venue, great walk through! We took our 7 and 14 year old to the friendly family time. It was a great walk through and even myself screamed a fair few times! All the staff were brilliant and the actors were great BUT the price of food and drinks is ridiculous! £4 for 3 marshmallows on a stick, for those on a budget...its not good....it would of cost a massive £16 for us all to roast a few!! Sickening really. £4 for a hot drink, the food was ridiculously over priced too, £12 for a burger! So we didn't eat there and that cut our stay. We went to mcdonalds for half the price! For that reason alone I don't think we would pay £54 entry, £3 parking just to do the 20 minute walk through! Such a shame when everything else there is so over priced!

Absolutely too expensive for the time it took to get to the venue (over an hour) for the experience to last all of 15 minutes. Then the other things there all cost more money, and priced highly at that. What a shame, it could have been a great experience if the "escape" part was longer - the actors were good and made the brief experience great. If there was more information on the website/socials about how long the experience would take, we wouldn't have bothered

Review of Escape Alive
The actors, the decorations and obviously the castle were amazing. The event itself was poorly managed.
You book a time slot with your ticket (which obviously has a booked few) but there were people who turned up on the night so the queue was huge, we queued over an hour for the event, which defeats the point of the time slot. Staff is the queue were rude, with one of them hissing at us "I told you to go with them why didn't you?" With the people behind us defending us saying they didn't say that, until they huffed off. The "queue supervisor" at the front of the queue didn't look up from her phone until we started up the steps into the castle then told us not to move until she okayd it, which we weren't to know because they hadn't yet looked at us. They hurried everyone along in the event so groups ended up blurring together so we were in a group of 16 moving through the castle. I think they hurried us because the queue was so large and the event was due to close soon.
The "after-party" was also shoddy with the music being to loud to be around, and half the bits being closed e.g. the tarot and the coconut shy games. This was just after 10 on Halloween Saturday. The event was due to finish at 11 so why was it all shut at 10?
The event management was not ready for such a large crowd, and should have reduced door ticket sales to ensure pre-booked ticket holders could enter the event on time.

It was disorganised & lengthy queues in the rain, also £3 parking seemed wrong .
Despite this we did enjoy the experiance, the actors were so good however for the money it was so short once in the venue it took literally 30mins so very costly

Ticket booth could have been better displayed or advertised as we went to que up the hill then were told we needed to show our confirmation email at booth before hand back down the hill. We queued for over an hour and on average we were in the castle 15/20minutes at most. We started in a group of 7 going through the castle, then a couple rooms into it we caught up to the next group and had joined them as it was clear they were rushing us through instead of keeping to a spacious amount of time before next group. Due to this we were in a group of 15, having to squish together in rooms to see each act though due to being over crowded we couldn’t see all of them clearly and the atmosphere didn’t feel as serious. Actors did a great job and looked amazing, the venue was perfect, did give off a more spookier atmosphere.

The location and the idea was very good. It’s just that it is let down by it being not very scary and really short lived for the money paid!
We both do these sorts of events every Halloween and this is by far the worst one and the most expensive! We were going to go back to Farmageddon this year, but saw this event and thought it would be worth doing. We were left disappointed.
The other issue was the food. You expect to pay over the top prices at these sort of events, but this really took the pee! We paid £20 for two hotdogs and a portion of cheesy chips to share. The hotdog was a chip shop sausage not a bratwurst. The roll was a cheap soft roll. The cheesy chips were luke warm oven chips with a handful of grated cheese scattered on them! Like I said I understand the cost of food at these sorts of events, but at least in other venues it’s been decent food for the price! It’s also served by people who can’t speak English and we’re just very rude.
The sign said that you can stay as long as you like but closes at 11pm. Well there wasn’t anything else to do after the food and so we went home!
This was an opportunity to kick start a new Halloween event but after this experience I wouldn’t go back next year when there is so much better options available.

Review of Escape Alive
Really enjoyed the event, however the parking was a bit chaotic and the queues very long. The overall atmosphere was excellent, as was most of the sets. The set with "Barry" in the dungeon was outstanding and our favourite part of the event. A couple of the sets did not seem to gel with the overall theme and did seem a bit out of place as we went from the knights and holy grail to the first or second world war and then back to knights. I think it should have stayed in medieval times, however others may think different. I also think it should have been mentioned that there was a charge for parking as this came as a surprise.
