Great event, shame that there was no fairground rides as advertised. Could have done with being longer, scarier and characters walking round outside of the castle.

Going there in groups of 10 is not a good idea. The beginning of group was scared but the rest was prepared and wasn't that scary for them. Time spend in castle was to short, I was expecting more for this price.

It's was good but got rushed out before we could look properly don't think there was fully enough there but the bits that was was really good. And prices for a quick walk wasn't the best. If only they added a few more to it it would of been amazing but the masks etc was really good thankyou

Venue and actors were amazing. The cost of the tickets for the amount of time the attraction lasted was abysmal. It took around 15 minutes to get through the castle/ scare attraction and then it was over. Alot of people stood around wondering if that was it.
Nearly £50 for 2 tickets and we were literally back in the car half an hour after getting our wrist bands.
It took longer to get from the road to the car park (20 minutes) obviously the weather did not help, then 15 minutes to get wrist bands and pay £3 for parking.
Over all the whole evening was a disappointment and I would not book again.

I enjoyed the experience, but found it a bit rushed. The food is a bit expensive for what you get, but I suppose that’s to be expected.

Made to pay for parking have never paid for parking here before should be included in ticket price very short attraction

It was good but there were too many people let in at the same time if you were at the end of the group you missed the start of the story telling but I think with a few tweeks it will be really good

The event was fun, great setting, great actors but the food prices are shocking!! 3 pounds for a standard can of sprite??? Worth going but get your credit card ready if you plan to eat and drink!

We attended Escape Alive last night for the opening night. I have to say the location of the castle was amazing but the actual event was awful. They could have done so much more especially with the location it was in.

The attraction consisted of a tour through the castle in and out of different rooms that were themed and had characters in. There was dry ice throughout the venue and things hanging down from the ceiling but that was it. There were a few scare actors and a couple jumped out but they were not at all scary in any way. We have been to loads of scare attractions and this one was the worst.

There was no fairground rides as advertised and food was very overpriced. There was no Halloween light trail. This was all very disappointing. The only good thing was seeing the castle.

Sorry but next year we will be returning to Hallowscream in York.

Amazing for adults but how they can advertise it for 5 years and up I will never know.
My son is 6 and was petrified to the point he was hysterical and had to leave,loads or kids were the same.
Keep to over 18’s like the other companies.
Definitely definitely not family friendly!!!
