Great venue and props, however was badly organised. Huge ques and didn't last longer than half hour. I wouldn't do it again for the price you pay wasn't worth it.

Amazing, we really enjoyed however its gutting the experience was so short, i would return again if it was longer. The ticket itself was ok priced, however the outdoor food and drinks were so expensive

We had a great time at Gwrych Castle . We went to the family one at 4pm. The kids loved it we loved it…. Will definitely book again for next year!!

For the price, it was not at all worth it. Part of it was closed due to the weather and no refund was offered. The actual scary area only lasted 15 minutes and ended rather abruptly, leaving us to feel disappointed.

Location..we'll you can't beat a castle for Halloween can you.
Well organised and easy to attend.

The event was good, however it was quite quick and if you were at the back of your group, you didn't get to see the initial scares (I didn't even see the white lady because she had gone by the time we reached the top of the stairs). It would have been cool to have 2 routes as the ending depending on if you followed the white or red lady. The food we had from the burger van was terrible. I was charged £8 for some chips and 4 tiny nuggets, when I asked is that all you get they just said yes and I asked if it was a children's meal and he said no. Very disappointed. The chips had been sat there and weren't cooked well, so just poor food quality in general. Also the bar was very expensive, £7.50 for a small wine and it was served in a paper cup and had bits in the bottom. It was also horrible tasting wine, I had to water it down with my own water to make it drinkable. I was going to buy some churros but for £8 for 6 again, it was ridiculously expensive. Just felt like as soon as we arrived we were ripped off having to pay for parking, expensive drinks, food. Even a can of fizzy drink was £3! For families going to the event would have been seriously expensive - I think this needs to be reviewed and it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. The DJs had the music way too loud in the tent to be able to hear yourselves speak, so that should also be reduced, it wasn't a rave. The castle itself and the staging, and the characters were great though, shame these other points let it down.

Really enjoyed all of it with my grandson aged 10,did book early so it was still light,would of been better and more atmospheric in the dark,my fault for booking but did not want to scare my granson as didn't know what to expect,great actors and costumes,great staff ,location and was lucky with the weather lol,would definitely book again for other events.thank you.

Great fun, family event. Price for the event was very reasonable and well worth it but the prices for coffee and snacks were extortionate ! I’m pretty sure if they were more reasonably priced you’d have more visitors staying to make the most of them.

I was rather disappointed all in all in the actual show…felt way to quick, felt they could of done alot more.
I also felt they could of had at least entertainers or more going on in the courtyard area also.

We were a group of 5 adults and 4 children, enjoyed it the kids had an amazing time. The only disappointment was for the price we paid it could of been a bit longer.
But overall enjoyed the experience

Great family event to go to for Halloween. We all thoroughly enjoyed from my 7year old neice to my 18 year old son. Actors were amazing and set in the castle gave it a spooky atmosphere. Worth a visit. Definitely be going again next year.

The Escape alive was set in a fabulous location, amazing actors and atmosphere. The event was a lot of fun but wasn't as scary as the website claims, which was disappointing. As a family, we all really enjoyed the whole event and had a great night. It was a shame as the booth to collect the wristbands wasn't made clear causing a lot of people to walk up to the castle and join the queue, before being told they needed to go back down the hill to collect their wristbands to give them entry to the event which was back up the hill.
