Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
Casual, laid-back, grassroots Pride celebration. Despite the lack of signage to the entrance of the park, and the confusing and inconsistent picnic packaging policies (I still don't know why foil crisp packets were confiscated upon arrival but disposable plastic food packaging was allowed in?), this was an otherwise fun and inclusive event. Thanks for organising and hosting!

Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
Salford Pride has such a lovely atmosphere and is much more laid back than Manchester Pride. I love the fact you can bring a picnic, camping chairs, your own booze and just hang out with your mates . However it was bizarre that we had our crisps confiscated because they were in plastic and they then went in the bin - I'm not sure how wasting food helps the planet!

First time attending but absolutely loved the chilled out vibe, it was a very wholesome experience all round. Fantastic event, looking forward to it again already

Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
A great free/ cheap family and friends festival in Peel Park. Always good to meet up with friends abs their friends. Lovely weather helps too. Only criticism would be a few signs to let you know where the entrance is. We arrived in a cab and really just had to follow other people to find the venue.

Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
The only thing that put a dampener on the day was their bizarre rules around not taking in single use plastic. Many people could take in plastic containing Olives, sandwiches, plastic bags etc and yet they confiscated my big bag of crisps. The bins at the entrance were full of food waste, this is not better than not allowing in some plastic items. There was no common sense. In this current climate, seeing so many wasted food products was upsetting.
