Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
Great day , there needs to be better music inbetween acts and louder as you could only just hear at the back. Also single use plastic... There were so many plastic single use cups given From the bars that it totally contradicts taking ours off us when entering. My son had dietary requirements and allergies, these were removed from us even after explaining contamination, this was a huge let down ... The kids area was great I would say that if a toilet was added in to that area for children it would be better for queueing and for those that can not hold it as long when in the adult que. Over all a great day

Great atmosphere and family event. Much improved queuing and toilets. Decent range of stands and stalls. All good.
The only disappointing bit was the ridiculous idea of banning plastic - resulting not only in a load of waste plastic, but a whole load of wasted food. What a stupid, short-sighted bit of overreach.

left crying because Salford pride refused to accommodate my needs as a disabled person by letting me in the (empty) accessibility area. I was not the only one who experienced this. completely illegal, and response via email have been less than satisfactory, "sorry you felt this way" nonsense.

Getting busier each year. I'd be happy to pay an entrance fee next year if there were more food booths and beer tents. And maybe so by adult big paddling pool type things...

Security would not even allow bags of crisps in, which was a pain for family's with kids having to empty every bag into a carrier bag 🤷🏻
Large bins were provided but locked so could not be used so bags of rubbish piled up next to them which was a bit mad as they refused single use plastic 🙄
Besides that the sun shone, music was great and stalls were nice. Good food too, highly recommend x

Event was good but no plastic allowed is crazy and I lost money -as confiscated my plastic. I get no glass but if cans are OK why not have plastic recycling as well?
