Review of Salford Pride Presents: The Pink Picnic 2024
Lovely event as always. Whilst I understand the commitment to plastic free it did all feel a bit militant this year. Crisps being confiscated etc, yet you still serve drinks from the bars on site in plastic glasses...
Toilets being spread out was an excellent idea to save long queues. Thanks for a lovely event.

Brilliant day fantastic atmosphere but absolutely Ridiculous Rules regarding what you can and can't take in, I fully understand glass and plastic bottles but not allowing people with children especially to take bags of crisps in Was crazy people actually walked away if this is the case in future then it should be made clearer or put more bins out. Security men acting like the mafia with women and then throwing food in bins, in the cost of living crisis were in this was sad to see.

Second year and loved it! My only negative is the plastic issue. I get no glass but having crisps and lucazade confiscated I do not understand. Especially as we could pour the drink away and use as a water bottle in the venue. The venue was using single use plastic for drinks which made no sense. I hope the food was sent to a food bank or a homeless charity . If it went to landfill it would have been cheaper by the tonne empty rather then full x

Gate staff not been trained on excepting attendees who have diabetes. Was asked to dispose of two bottles of lucozade which I refused and had to ask for a manager who took 20 minutes to arive.
Plus they don't have dedicated recycling bins for different waste types and therefore not environmentally friendly

3rd year going absolutely brilliant. Well organised family advent. A the weather was an added bonus.
Well done to the council and all the guys that help this advent happen.

It's not a picnic - the area is too small for everyone there to sit down. Furthermore the rules on what you can bring in don't lend themselves to being a picnic. I had to chuck my food away which is not very green. Acts weren't the best, particularly the headliners. Local acts were better. Would not go again
