Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
Directions were awful. We drove round Newport for 2 hours to try and find park and ride/shuttle bus and signage, instructions and directions on email were awful. We think we found the park and ride but there wasn't a car park just cars parked on the side of the road on an industrial estate but with no obvious signage. After 2 hours gave up and went home with a very upset and disappointed little girl

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
This was my second Festival of Comedy, and definitely won't be my last. There is always a good selection of comedians that is bound to tickle somebodies funny bone. Can't wait for the next one

Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
Didn't enjoy this much really. Rides were overpriced. Ridiculous you can't bring in food and drink for a children's event.
Dj music not appropriate for children and too loud.
Youngest daughter was looking forward to seeing Bluey who was on the stage for a few mins, queued up to see them and then Bluey disappeared.
No organisation as to what was happening where.

Came with my husband and our two daughters and our good friends and their family from Bristol and we absoloutly loved it! Would deffo come back and recommend to friends and family!!

Disco Kids Festival in Newport: A Fantastic Family Experience!
I recently took my 4 and 8-year-old kids to the Disco Kids Festival in Newport this weekend, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, the festival was packed with loads of fun activities, exciting performances, and delicious food and drinks.
Activities Galore: There was never a dull moment at the festival. My kids were thrilled with the variety of things to do - from arts and crafts stations to interactive games and face painting. The bouncy castles and carnival rides were a hit, and the kids spent hours jumping, sliding, and laughing.
Spectacular Performances: The festival featured an array of fantastic acts that kept everyone entertained. The children's theatre shows were captivating, and the live music had us all dancing. The highlight for us was the disco-themed dance party, where my kids boogied to their heart's content. The energy and enthusiasm of the performers were contagious!
Yummy Food and Drinks: We were spoiled for choice with the wide range of food stalls. There was something for everyone - from gourmet hot dogs and juicy burgers to sweet treats like cotton candy and ice cream. The kids loved trying different snacks, and the refreshing drinks were perfect for the warm day.
Amazing Atmosphere: The atmosphere at the festival was truly something special. Families, kids, and even adults were all having a great time. The organisers did a fantastic job of creating a safe, fun, and welcoming environment. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Can't Wait for Next Year: My kids can't stop talking about the festival and are already counting down the days until next year's event. It's safe to say that the Disco Kids Festival in Newport has become a new family favourite. If you're looking for a fun-filled day out that the whole family will enjoy, I highly recommend checking it out. We had an unforgettable time, and we can't wait to do it all over again next year!

Review of Shrek Rave
Really disappointed this was not what it was sold!!! It was just one stage added onto an event already happening. There was no "Shrek themes c**ktails" as advertised. No "Immersive visuals" as advertised. The music was decent but not for a child friendly rave more catering to adults. And safe to say my brother dressed as a better Shrek than the one on stage. He was mortified when Shrek came out and asked to go home.

Unfortunately despite getting to the venue 30 mins before doors opening we were met with a VERY lengthy queue. We queue from 11.35-12.50 - when we FINALLY entered the venue. We missed the Act we went to see, they were on stage at 12. I wonder how many people did get to see this act as most were outside in lengthy queues. Once inside, everything my daughter wanted was an additional cost- £4 for hook a duck. I say no more. We missed the 1st hour of the 5 hour event. The Shrek rave was a stage with picture of Shrek that played music!? Science school was a camping table hidden away amongst mainly food stalls... so after looking for it for almost 2 hours (no site map) we were very disappointed. Bluey appeared on a stage for 2 mins - if you didn't know about it, you missed it. All very disappointing and with better organisation and communication could have been a much better experience. After a hook a duck, a couple of bottles of water and some chips I'd spent £30 already!! Such a shame

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
Great show, and great venue... if the weather is good, which luckily it was. Ticket prices were good but bar prices were a bit disappointing, with canned soft drinks (330ml) at £3.50 a can. Also, the event info listed no food or drink to be taken in and yet we saw many with flasks of tea etc which we would have also brought if we thought they wouldn't be confiscated.

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
This was a Comedy Event, not music. There was a very good lineup, one of the best I've seen. Was expecting around 3 hours - including an interval or two - and got close to 4 hrs. If it returns in 2025, I'll definitely book tickets.
