What can I say, we had an absolutely amazing day out, there was non-stop entertainment throughout the day and the whole family had an amazing day, would definitely recommend and look forward to future events.

Rules stated no outside food or drink. Prices in venue were extremely expensive, bottles of water £3! and then seen families with whole picnics and huge bags of food/snacks they brought in (for the baby apparently!). Those who follow the rules are penalised!
Proffit margins were excessive!
Rides were fairly priced. The place was regularly cleaned by litter pickers. The sinks for hand washing outside the toilets had no water left in them ( or the foot pumps were broken).
The daily events were not well advertised so missed special characters and shows.
Music was really good, atmosphere was great.

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
Great evening, fantastic comedians and the VIP loos were lovely! I appreciate the venue was changed from the original one, so locating an alternative suitable space may have been challenging, but there is no public transport in that area on a Sunday (come on Newport Transport!). Great that the organisers laid on coach travel to nearest carpark/train station but that wasn't communicated to me who booked the tickets by email, my OH saw it on FaceBook. If you didn't see those comms, the only options to get to the venue was driving or taxi. Use of public transport should be promoted, and ensure all ticket holders are aware of the options provided by the organisers.

Taxis were single sourced and taxis were asking for cash only and triple the price for the return journey. I understand giving priority to one company but not when they then take advantage of customers.
Food is always expensive at events but some of the prices were ridiculous

Review of Festival of Comedy 2024
A great event, very much enjoyed by the entire group.
I would recommend that doors open earlier to allow opportunities to queue for food and drink. I would also recommend including that information on the website as we were unsure about food being available so most of us ate before arriving. Although the food was extremely expensive so probably worked out better for us!
Also allowing more opportunities for parking as we travelled from afar and did not know the area at all. As it was a Sunday we were unable to use the train option and were too late for the park and ride as it had sold out. We ended up with an hour walk to get back to the car (we did not know that the are would be quite a dangerous walk - especially for women).

Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
Brilliant day overall but my children was a bit disappointed they didn't get to see the stilt walkers fire breathers no giant bubbles like advertised. We came as a family of 4 ages 4 and 6 plenty to do but the prices of food and drink was very steep we paid £3 per can for soft drinks

Review of Disco Kids Newport 2024
Terrible response from the park and ride. Not enough busses as a result waited over 2 hours to get in the site so was unable to enjoy it! Limited time at the venue. Rip off prices for food and drink! £6 for a 99p ice cream and £3.50 for a can of c**e! Joke! Then no instruction to the park and ride as to where to go to park! No postcode of anything! Won't be coming again!

I was very disappointed, venue was changed , I am disabled and parking was terrible I had to park and walk for 15minutes , the queue was horrendous , I asked if there was easier access for disabled I was asked for my blue badge which I obviously had displayed in my car , so showed a picture of it on my phone to be told well you are are in the queue now you might as well wait , couldn't get the app to work for my tickets , then to be told at security no food or drink allowed I booked for 7 kids & 6 adults totalling £179 and you expect us to buy food and drink inside which was disgusting prices £3 a can £5 for chips and £5 for rides etc , we finally got in at 1.10 pm and left at 3.30 so basically £179 to get into a field , won't recommend it and won't book again 😞?'?
