Review of Official Hitchin Fireworks Display 2024
The start of the fireworks was not announced, there was only 4 stalls selling food, queues were ridiculously long and some stalls ran out of food. There was only one exit which was very overcrowded and poorly lit. This event seemed very disorganised, although the fireworks were impressive.

Not enough facilities for the number of people. Over crowded with large queues for food stalls and bar. Live music was a singer singing to a backing track. Over sold....wont go again.

Extremely overpriced, paid 66£ for 5 adults and a child and fair ground rides were 4 - 6£
a go. Completely falsely advertised as an amazing funfair when they're were 2 rides plus t***polines. The actual firework display was short and sweet but all in all I wouldn't recommend this, there are displays which are free to enter and more available to do.

Total waste of time and money.... Far too busy (massive ques for everything), fireworks started 45mins early with no introduction or build up. The poor singer on stage had to stop mid song).
Will definitely not be going again next year. This felt like a money making exercise with no thought about the customers experience

Fireworks were basic at best, the event was not very well organised, the queues for food and drinks were farcical, the music on the rides overpowered the live music and were a major distraction and there was no evidence of the advertised fire pits. I will definitely not be attending fireworks at the Priory again.

Fireworks were nice but way too many people, you could barely move at all in the crowd, felt like it could have been a genuine safety issue if there was a stampede etc. Need to limit the amount of tick*ts sold. Honestly as soon as we got in at 7:30 we felt so uncomfortable with the amount of people we almost left straight away.

The event was under staffed and over capacity - my partner and I left after half an hour. We had tried to get a drink and the queue was not manned so was chaotic, verging on dangerous with the amount of people there. The food vans had run out of food by 7:30pm, the queue for a non alcoholic cold drink was approx 40 mins. Very disappointed.

The whole event was a long queue for everything. No time to have fun. Toilets ran out of toilet rolls. Bar ran out of drinks. Everything so expensive. Acoustic very bad. The only thing that saved the night was the great singer.

Excellent firework display although it would have been even better if there had been music to accompany it. Fairground rides available together with food and drink outlets. Great atmosphere and well attended. Will definitely hook for next year. Thank you to the Marshalls too they did a great job.

Not enough catering. Crazy long queues and fireworks came out of nowhere, No countdown or info on timings anywhere. The fairground music and lights kind of ruined the display a bit as they were so loud and distracting. The actual fireworks were pretty good.
