Review of Official Hitchin Fireworks Display 2024
Whilst the fireworks display was nice there was not enough food available for the amount of people, or access to the bar. We spent an hour queueing for food and drinks only for the mulled wine to be sold out, there was also nowhere to toast the marshmallows as indicated on the poster. Considering we had to book our tick*ts in advance it should not have been difficult to ensure there was enought food truck options / drinks etc for the amount of people who had booked. All in all it was a very disappointing night. I won't be going back next year.

Whole thing felt a massive cash grab - packed like cattle into the field, huge queues for all vendors, especially the bar - left before the fireworks as we respected our evening and time enough to not waste it in such a way!

This event was the worse firework event I've ever experienced. The flyer was a con. The venue was tiny they only had limited food vans and 1 bar so everyone was queuing for up to an hour, I was in the queue when the fireworks suddenly started no countdown no warning no music nothing. We ended up leaving the food and packed up ready to leave. So I ended up spending the night separated from my group stuck in a never ending line and didn't even end up getting anything. The atmosphere was terrible I would have had more enjoyment in my garden. A complete waste of money would never return or recommend. We travelled an hour to this event as well. Would love my money back to be honest, absolutely shocking.

The fireworks themselves were great, but it was unclear when they were going to start and was extremely busy. Impossible to get anything due to long queues so absolutely nothing to do with the smaller kids while we waiting for the fireworks. Not really suitable for children under 8 or 9 because of this.

Venue was far to small and felt unsafe with the amount of people crammed into one small area. It wasn't a fun fair as advised. 2 rides and a couple of stalls. Stage singing was mixed in with ride music which sounded awful and tge singer wasn't much either. Ride were £5 a go which is way over priced and firework display you could see from the road with ease. What was the point! Definitely won't be going again.

Very poor, queues everywhere and no queuing system. Not enough bar staff and not enough food stalls. Definitely no enough there to keep you entertained for 4 hours. No warning fireworks were about to start either! Only good thing was the firework display.

Fireworks were good and the venue plus music were decent. The event was poorly organised as getting in and out weree chaotic . No information on where to park . I wouldn't be coming back
