Review of Official Hitchin Fireworks Display 2024
Our evening was lovely and we enjoyed the display very much. If I could make any feedback it would be opening up the entrance/exit areas as it was very slow getting out!! Also, there were extensive queues for food as there were only a handful of options available.........I would recommend at least doubling the food choices. We queued for 30 mins and still only made it half way down the queue by the time the fireworks ended! Overall though, the atmosphere was pleasant and friendly and the display was fantastic 😊

It was too packed and there was no where to move. No information about when the fireworks started. We wish we were informed just before the fireworks began. They just randomly started.

Not very well organised - no info on timing of fireworks beforehand which makes it really hard with children. Not enough food trucks and super expensive. Wouldn't go again.

I think you created an event for a music festival not family fireworks. Cues huge, fireworks too late, no marshmallows, no bonfire no one selling sparklers. Beers were £6 a tin plus £15 tick*t entry! Not impressed won't go against

Massive queues inside for drinks food basically stood around people pushing in queues took hour to even get nearly to the front I wouldn't go again. We left soon as fireworks finished

I felt I'd been fleeced. The entertainment was a women standing on stage in her coat singing with a sound system. Couldn't hear her at the top of the venue. The queue for food and drink was massive, still it gave us som**hing to do while waiting for the fireworks to start. It was £6 for half a cup of mulled wine. I paid £23 for two tick*ts to get into the event that promised lots and under delivered. The Priory is a big space so I thought there would be many bars and food stalls to sit by. We basically paid to get into a small funfair. The fireworks were good, but there was no timetable for the evening so no one knew when they started. I felt sorry for those with small kids who can early there were such poor provisions to keep people entertained. People have much less money in their pock*ts and to treat them like this is criminal.

Overpriced drinks, organisation was terrible no body knew when the fireworks were starting, the singer was great however it was very hard to hear her. She announced she would be back after the fireworks which led us to believe they'd be starting in the next couple of mins and then we ended up standing around for ages waiting for a very short display

The venue was way too small for the number of people attending. Queues for the food stalls on both sides of the field merged in the middle and made trying to get up or down the field very difficult.

trying to cater for way too many people, didn't even ask for tick*ts on arrival which we paid almost £30 for, unable to get drinks or food during the time we were there as the ques were massive. ended up queuing most of the time for the fireworks to then start going off before we were even able to get even near the front of a que so never ended up eating as all the crowd left straight after the fireworks ended so the ques were no longer ques, so wasn't able to enjoy our time there at all.
