Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The event was good. Unfortunately because the lighting was poor I tried over a sofa just inside one of the doorways. I pulled a muscle in my thigh and had difficulty walking up the stairs after. The lovely person in the plague mask lent me his arm to help me.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Firstly, the good - Acting, make-up and costume were brilliant. I enjoyed being guided around the hotel - the lady grey bit where we had to stop and the Baron with his food table (great monologue!) were my favourites. However, the last scene lacked any build up and very anti-climatic. Maybe if we entered an outdoor section with Zombies from the virus with a chainsaw ending into the outdoor bit? Now the not so good - We were in there for a total of 15-mins (!) max and thought the price was expensive for the experience - especially having done Dr Frights, The Howl, Hinchingbrooke and Extreme Scream Park which were similar price points and had so much more going on. I think the mark*ting would be better to scrap the 'family fun' halloween event in the gardens and keep it as 'nightmare at the priory' and go all out on that concept. A lot of tweaks needed but I loved the concept and would like to support next year if the pricing was adjusted to suit. We didn't spend time in the after event as it lacked atmosphere (we went Tuesday night) and was overpriced. Nice idea to have but would rather spend money on improving the maze for next year than any budget on the outside stuff. I am hoping that this event builds year on year and gets better and better because it's a promising venue with lots of scope of being the best in the country.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Really well done, loved it! Would love a bit more storyline through the scenes and even more scare factor. But overall really impressive and fun. Would definitely return next year.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
This was absolutely a rip off. The actors were good . Venue done up very cheaply. Was over too quick and was not scarey enough. Just the same all through, a great disappointment

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Bloody fantastic all 4 of us jumped near on all the way through the maze, didn't know what was coming. Excellent 10 out of 10. The actors/actresses the make up could not fault. Only one thing I would add is maybe a bit longer in the maze.🤩

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
This is not a scare maze in the slightest. If you want that, go to The Howl!
Here you walk through rooms with actors who act out their scene & you move on. Not exactly scary or made to jump by it. What's more scary is not knowing where some of the steps are in the dark as you move around & have to rely on the person in front of you to warn you!
When you exit the house you are in the 'Halloween Pop Up' event which can also be paid for separately for a daytime visit and which is also pretty lame! No live music & everything else that was there (which wasn't much) had to be paid for! It was dead so we took our 'Survived the Priory' picture by the board as a joke & went.
Was really looking forward to this but it was £28 not well spent!

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The cost of £37 for myself and daughter was only for the 20 minute scary tour, which wasn't child friendly and we ended up having to leave early!! When that ended we had to pay for everything else that was on offer. Very misleading advertising and completely inappropriate for children.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The maze was way too scary for 10 year olds. The extra rides were expensive and also not suitable for youngsters. There was only live music for about 10 minutes towards the end. Billed as a family experience but was definitely not

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The event was short and not scary. The acting was great though and there was a consistent story throughout which was nice. But me and my friends go to these type of events every year and this one did not cut it. The end was disappointing and sudden, and the after bit "live music" "pumpkin carving" etc was non existent. At 8:10pm the stage was empty with just a playlist on and pumpkin carving closed. There was some expensive food stalls but not even a burger van.?!

Review of Hitchin Halloween Pop Up
Really disappointed. Paid an entrance fee and everything else was £5+ - all the activities and rides. The music was someone singing over a backing vocal. Really boring to be honest and could have been so much better - even paying a higher entrance fee to have things included would be preferable. Awful hot chocolate too and no vegetarian/vegan marshmallow alternatives. Won't be returning.
