Review of Hitchin Priory
Been this evening (Monday) the scare maze itself was very good, with great actors, though a little short. The outside 'festival' area lacked any atmosphere. Gin bar was closed, staff looked bored, no live music. It was quite expensive too. I agree with other reviews, this has potential but would leave it a few years to see if it improves. Half the price and it would have been good value.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Was very disappointed as traveled from 4pm from.south london one Friday took me 3 hrs only to get to a place with no parking also said their was fun fare and pop up street food well to my disappoint and as they say on Facebook which is false advertising was only 1 fun fare ride axe ?" throwing 4 food stalls fish n chips kebab doughnut and churros one bar serving drinks outside charged a fortune only for paper cups to leak also when we got inside to do the scary apparently which wasn't to me and was very boring over priced and for 64.00 for 2 tick*ts for a boring dull nite I certainly wouldn't and won't be recommending this to
Any person!!!!

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Just finished this fantastic horror maze in Hitchin! A few hiccups and misunderstandings unfortunately meant we missed out on a chunk of it in the middle, and someone accidentally led our group into a bathroom that wasn't part of the experience... But otherwise I was super impressed with the actors, the props, the scares, the general atmosphere and story of the whole maze. It's the first year they've run this and it's very different to any other halloween mazes we have done in the past! Would highly recommend and I hope to go back there another year and see how they continue to grow!

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Will start of by saying false advertisement on fb & insta posts, "family friendly ends PM do booked for 6.30PM to then find out this is still family friendly after contacting them they couldn't change the time they issued us a refund (NOT booking fees, so had to pay two lots of booking fees)
Staff/actors were okay, was not scary and felt very family friendly event re booking at 7:30
When entering the garden area, to only find the tiniest crazy golf, axe throwing costing £5 each!!! No live band or singer. 2 rides, food vans (12 for a tiny pizza) Gin / alcohol van closed nothing else was there and left not even an hour after arriving!
Do NOT recommend & Waste of money

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
It has great potential and the idea is great but the outside events were minimal, the bar ran out of mulled cider before the evening had really started. Once in the tour our group was too big in my opinion. Half the time we couldn't all get in the areas. We were given the impression that I was a haunted maze but it was more being guided into rooms where some of the plot was explained. It reminded us of London dungeon kind of feel. We had a laugh but we were expecting a little more scare and less story.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Whilst the event was scary and entertaining I do feel it was overpriced. The actors were brilliant and atmosphere, props and decor all really creepy. However it only lasted 15 minutes and then you are in the grounds outside for a pop up Halloween event that lacked any atmosphere. It just felt like an empty field with a few food vans and one ride for teens. The live singing was a lady popping out to sing the odd song. It all felt a bit of a letdown after the maze itself being so good. Everything was very overpriced and too spaced out. The marshmallow toasting stations were good though. Overall our teens enjoyed it but I wouldn't book this again - this cost us nearly £200 for a family of 4 for 15 mins of great scares followed by an hour in a field paying for overpriced drinks and rides. I realise we were not forced to stay but for £27.50 a tick*t I feel there could have been more in the pop up bit to make it worthwhile.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
I think the entrainment was well over priced the music wasn't live was played off a laptop it was very small payed for an hour in the house spent 20 to 30 min waiting inside took so long to get a drink that I had to leave it the actors were good at communicating with the public but it wasn't scary at all so all in all I think it was a waste of money

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
It was a quiet evening so atmosphere wasn't there but that's ok. The maze was great, the actors were very good. Quite short though. The main issue for me was the toilets, no toilet paper, no hand towels, sinks and floor filthy. The gents toilets had no working sink (no water) so couldn't even wash hands. The food was very expensive and not great quality. £12 for a gyros that was very small and tasted like cat food. A pizza was £10 for a very small pizza, although flavour was good. The pumpkin carving was good but nothing to clean hands afterwards, sent to toilets that had no facilities. It was £27 entry free and everything inside had to be paid for, so basically paying £27 each for the actors, which were good but expensive.

Review of Hitchin Halloween Pop Up
The venue was lovely. The festoon lighting and stage lights with the small fire bbq looking stand in the middle did give a cosy feeling. We arrived at about 5pm and stayed until about 7pm. During this time, there was no live music as advertised, just music playing through a speaker. It was pretty dead, with about 20 other people aimlessly walking around. The staff were very disorganised and couldn't answer my questions about the live music acts or the prices of their cans of cider; which turned out to be £6 per can (this was for a regular can of strongbow) I wouldn't recommend to anyone
