Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
We arrived on time for our session, ended up waiting outside in a queue for about 30 mins and after being allowed in we ended up being sat in a corner with a group of people and waited another 35 minutes to be let into the maze. The whole experience prior to the maze felt quite unorganised, there was no music in the room, the bar had ran out of a lot of drinks and we were incredibly bored (bearing in mind we had travelled over 1 hour to get there as well). The maze was good, we thought the actors did a good job however it was really short. We arrived at 7pm and were out by 8:30pm, didn't really want to spend more time outside either as we were kind of hoping for some Halloween vibes giving the theme of the event but it was just a normal fair type of set up which didn't really appeal to us. For the price I think a bit more effort could have been made.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The Maze itself was good however I just wish it was a bit longer. The outside area after was the thing that ruined this for me. The atmosphere wasn't great, and overall there was only one scary character outside I thought there would be more.
As a whole improvements need to be made , I appreciate it was the first year

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
A cool idea, but felt lacking in some places (a couple rooms where we were just told to stand and wait with nothing happening?) Didn't use any of the other pop-up afterwards as it seemed a bit too kiddy and not very themed for a Halloween event (more decorations would have been great)

Review of Hitchin Halloween Pop Up
Barely anything there! There was quite a few of us all with kids between ages 3-15. There was 3 rides/things for kids to go on. £5 per go, everything overpriced. Pumpkin carving was free and probably the best thing that the kids enjoyed and the bouncy thing, would not return sadly

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
This was not a scare maze, it was a theatre performance for the actors so was completely not what I was expecting from the adverts. There wasn't one scary thing about the walk around. The actors were actually rather irritating following you about talking to you. Very disappointing. The outside pop up part was also dull unfortunately. Zero atmosphere, needing to buy 1 overpriced drink to get a free marshmallow.... the singer sang a few ABBA songs which again, wasn't in theme with a scary halloween event, she wasn't even dressed up in any scary costume which I would have thought would be fitting for what the night was meant to be, instead sang ABBA songs in jeans and a puffa jack*t then going for half hour breaks after singing 3 songs. The whole walk around lasted not even 20 minutes then we was out and on our way home again after an hour and half car journey to attend. Very strange event to say the least.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The cost is stupidly high for what is an theatrical performance not a maze that last all of 15mins. We spent more time in queues to get in than actually being in there and there's too many people being let in at the same time so half the view was blocked. Then to go outside where axe throwing is closed and as the flyer said live music was just songs playing on shuffle this was extremely disappointing and a waste of money.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
Group sizes too big, amateur dramatics, acting started before entire group was through/in the room. Props were "needed" by each act but then not really used. None of the rooms really linked together and no continuous story line throughout. We also never met "Abel"! Who should have been the scariest part of it. Initial actor spat on my arm. Attractions afterwards were expensive and "over sold" with very few people staying afterward the main event. Queued and waited over an hour for the horror maze which was about 20 mins total and as scary as a Christmas pantomime. More comical than scary. Not a true scare maze and limited by the building. Wouldn't recommend for the price. Had a lot more promise than it delivered. Overall disappointed.

Review of A Nightmare at The Priory
The hotel atmosphere and actors were brilliant and a great experience.
Just a couple of things that could have made the experience better. There was no parking at the hotel and so it made us late to the allocated slot, this should be made clear on booking. The hotel had a lot of trip hazards and when in the dark was quite dangerous at times so at the least it should have been made known to be aware of. The food vendors had run out of a lot of food after we came out the hotel which was frustrating.
Again though, the experience was fantastic and we loved the marshmallow toasting too. The things above wouldn't put me off going again, I would just plan for them in future.
